Curious as to who you've got in mind. I'd have Liberatore (a year older) and O'Meara (a year younger) above him, Shiel and Cripps with a better year this year but Adam's put together a few years now, and discounted Wingard for not playing through the middle as much.

They'd all comfortably fetch two first rounders in the current climate where you can trade future picks. Macrae probably would too.

Yes Parker, Cripps and Wines being inside players have more contested possessions. But their contested possessions are not ahead of Treloars by as much as Treloars effective possessions are on theirs.

Point was it's not about raw numbers like your point with Macrae. It's about the effective ones.

Pretty much, our list is already relatively young. We brought in a heap of young kids last year and we're losing a bunch of our older players this year.

Yeah, I'd take Parker and Wines. Bonts is too up and down for me at the moment. But I guess either way you cut it you're getting 10 years out of a player that's in the top 10 midfielders his age, going off your list or mine. Most players, when traded, a team would be looking to get half that or a bit more.

No, I'm just pointing out the bit of hypocrisy for calling out him for putting forward his opinion as the club's, when hypothetical trades are exactly the same thing. What we post on here really is all academic, at least as far as player's worth and club movements are concerned.

Same can be said about Richmond, as far as I'm aware, only Kevin Bartlett has reported that Adam Treloar has told Richmond that they're his club of choice. Maybe Tony Shaw should just come out and say that he's heard Treloar has told Collingwood the same. Then where would we be?
