= Explosiveness.
Trying to think of a player with the same attributes as Dangerfield ......maybe a Rene Kink, or Sam Kekovich

But modern day players ....really can't think of a Dangerfield comparison

Chris Judd.

Knight had a very solid game last night. Hard to believe he is yet to play 10 games they way he was so composed.

Was somewhat intrigued by how devastated he was post Eagles game. VB just mentioned on The Footy Show that he's had a tough few years. Anyone able to shed light on that?

Best mate died in a car accident, and was apparently extremely close to Walsh.

Strikes me as a super passionate, heart on his sleeve type kid as well, which would magnify things a bit.

A country kid with a personal tragedy that I am sure Walshy as a father figure would have helped him through.

Add to that, one of Walshy's last acts as coach would have been telling Riley he was making his debut against Geelong. The kid carried that all the way to the WC game and beyond.

You get the sense Riley will be shaped by that is entire career and we are seeing what he will be and how driven he is.

Was that knight tackling with Laird in the defensive fifty, that caused the ball-up that Sloane won the clearance to knight and knight hit Walker on the chest running from a long kick? Walker then hit Cameron on the chest

The rest they say is history?
Yup. He was busting a gut all game. Monster endurance! His fend off on Wil Minson was a particular favourite moment of mine in the game :)

Dont ya just wanna boof him:D

That is what you want players that play with passion. How could you forgot the emotion after the West Coast game.

Was right behind that goal he kicked in the third (unbelievably Bulldogs supporters couldn't believe he got the free kick - people intelligence amazes me and one kept calling one of the umps Razor Ray!) and just gave it to the Bullies supporters around me.

The kid is something and you true worth is when you can produce in a final. He has has it and can't wait for the next instalment. Bring on Friday!

Without the indelible mark of Phil Walsh upon the culture of this football club there is no way we would've won that match.

Can you imagine if Neil Craig (who did have many positives) coaching that game? Play with passion? pfft…crowbots would've treated it like any other game and got beaten by 5 goals.

That game can be summed up by that moment he and Laird tackled. One bulldogs player decided to run off the contest hoping hunter got it out, but laird and knight went at the ball and held it in. Bulldogs were out the back, into an open goal, if not for the two tackling.

He apparently came close to quitting footy last year after his friend died. To not and then add what happened with Walsh and still continue on shows what a tough young guy he is. He also does a lot of work with a road awareness thing, going to schools and talking with Year 10/11 students and telling them about his experiences with what happened with his mate.

This kid is everywhere out there, always popping up at the right moment. His attack on the ball and running work are immense. :hearts:

I only found this out 2 or 3 weeks ago but the very last conversation Phil Walsh has was with Riley Knight.

He rang him late on the Thursday night and told him he would play against Geelong. They had 25 to 30 people coming down from the Riverland (Berri) and then everything occured on the Friday morning.
