The only way he fits IMO is if we want to turf White for Howe. But that's like, really dumb. Moore is a rake, not yet ready for such huge phyiscal responsibility. Besides, White's career high is 27 goals. Howe's is 28. Doesn't seem like 1 goal is worth losing Kennedy over.

Yeah I was going to add that. He may have wanted $600k but I think the market pretty quickly gave him a reality check.

It was reported Pies/Dee offers were very similar and just below that of the GC. Apparently the mooted role at Pies got him over the line.

Really surprised it hasn't been talked about more on this thread. Everything just gets muddled up with Treloar, Aish and Howe talks - even though we have separate threads for each of those topics. Would love to get any idea of what everyone thinks the best way to fill this need (pure small forward) is. Because god knows we need it.

Yeah, look, I'm not a huge fan of getting Howe in, but maybe [surely] his best years are ahead of him. He may actually push Fas out, rather than White, for all I know.

I agree the word superstar called on many players today is just silly and even star. they have to be earned over many seasons
playing at a high level. most of it is the media's fault in the way they over rate some one very quickly

Well in my opinion, I can see him flourishing in the Black and White. He will add another dimension to our forward line and cause a lot of frustration for opposition coaches.

Hopefully we get him.

We are always linked to multiple players each year and most don't come to fruition. Although to me it does seem this year the links seem a little more concrete.

Also, with multiple players nominating us, to me that means we must have a plan to get them in. If we couldn't I'd imagine we'd be upfront and say you're better off nominating someone else. Maybe

Replace 19 with 26...
26,35,40,58 -> Syd for 14 (=1850 pts to Swans - if Mills goes pick 3 w/20% discount = 1787 pts)
Out: Seeds, Ox, 26

With out delistings and patty k retiring that left 7 players to fill.

The Howe trade will most likely be Kennedy plus a pick and the Aish deal will most likely be 2 picks or a player and a pick which will leave us 9 players short.

If we trade Seedsman and a pick to get a higher pick that will leave us 10 players to get

We will get Treloar with our first and get one back this year would then be back to 9 players to fill.

Frost will get elevated and maybe Abbott.

Not a heap of diff between 3 @ $600k as opposed to 4 @ $400.

The difference is huge in salary cap terms. We can probably afford to pay $600K each to every player on our list. Unfortunately it's against the rules.

He said nothing more than what was already being mentioned in the media by Brett Anderson.

Thousands of rumors are initiated by the media, yet he stuck by his guns had the guts to stand by his conviction/ source, deserves credit for doing so and is some what vindicated with todays news for doing so.

Chose to give Pie Time the benefit of the doubt.
