We really don't need insurance for SOSOS. Even if we don't have enough points, if we finish last next year, we could be 482 points short on SOSOS and not be penalised

Yep, but 20 + 21 is more than enough for 10, so I'd be hoping we could pry an extra 3rd rounder out just to be safe. Can't hurt to ask.

And the deficit if we're short carries to the same round the bid is made, not our first pick. So if we carry points over it might knock our 2nd or third back a little depending on who bids for SOSOS and when.

Don't think it will be necessary, but if we can get it we may as well.

tomlinson jaksch everitt walker casboult white could be fairly mobile. cripps gibbs lamb murphy sumner smith thomas are all smaller goal kickers as well. i reckon bolton might use rowe as a relief ruck as well swapping w krooz up forward.

At the moment, pick 59 and 60 will get us enough points to match any bid after pick 41. Another pick can't hurt, but unless someone bids in the 2nd round we're not going to have a big enough deficit to effect us next year.
