Riley bonner from SA is the best kick in the draft apparently. Mitchell hibberd is also a pretty good user and creator off half back. Both are bigger boys in the grant birchall mould.

Gresham is also good user, as is Harley balic and darcy tucker. Parish is probably the best of the mids, but he will be gone when we pick again.

I would be getting one of the big forwards with one of your top draft numbers. If your plan is 3-5 years of building, you rather him age 22 or so with 4 years in the system at the time you guys want to hit finals etc.

Thanks for the heads up.
Might have to look him up.
Do it... there are some good highlights of him... 22 years old (june 1993 birth)

Is quite agile and quick as well. Kicks 5 in this match... could have had 6 but he gave it away to a team mate.

Im hoping for the following,
1 - Weitering
8 - Weiderman/Curnow
11 - Burton
19 - Collins
Thoughts?
Too tall... need a couple of zippy little mids/small forwards in those picks.

Big fan of Curnow & Gresham, hoping we land at least one of them.

1 - J. Weitering
8 - C. Curnow
11 - C. Oliver
19 - J. Gresham
Gresham could go any where between 13 and 19 I think. His stocks rose after the combine and I think that he is now an option for a late first round or early second.

I'm going off all of 2 games I seen him play on tv, but I really liked this kid. Him & Mathieson stood out to me. Pick 19 would be great.

The more I read on Oliver, the more I like the sound of him also. Probably can't get both.

What's your thoughts on Hibberd from Tassie mate? The young fellas I used to get some info from down here are early/mid 20's now, don't know much about him.

Haven't looked much at Hibberd. I might go and have a look for info on him.

Sorry if this has been addressed, done way too much reading today & can't be arsed scouring this thread. Is he a Carlton fan? If so, I want him even more. Can never have enough of these types.

Read from someone that he's Carlton mad and rated for his leadership, and that SOS was interested. My info on this is entirely BF so take with appropriate metric tonne of salt.

I'd also read SOS was keen but wasn't aware of his affection toward us. Hope that's indeed correct & we nab him. Really liked the two games of his on tv.

A mate of mine & myself try to watch a few games each year & pick 'our boy' for the following season. He was mine, Weitering aside obviously.

Here's what I think we'll draft. Did a bit of a Phantom to look at what other clubs will be after and thus, who'll still be around when out picks are called out.

1. Jacob Weitering - Key Defender
8. Jade Gresham - Inside Mid
11. Clayton Oliver - Mid
19. Harry McKay - Key Forward / Ruck
F/S. SOSOS - Key Forward

Would really love a Francis, Curnow or Weiderman to slide, but I don't think they will get to us unfortunately. Other players such as Balic and Milera seem a bit too "icing on the cake" types. I really think we need to go for gut running beasts that love the contest and get their hands dirty. Skills and leadership should be massive priorities.

What chance of springing a surprise with Schache @1 and Collins @8 or 11. Gets us the best key forward and 2nd best key defender, who is already a decent size?
