Harker, with your comment on Jacksch, did you mean he wasn't doing anything noteworthy hence the hair comment? Should we start being concerned?

I was just pointing out what had changed since the week before............that's all.
Jaksch doesn't really stand out through the course of a session but then again that's just the way it goes for some.
I've had my concerns for Jaksch last year but he is working much harder now.

Thanks for the report Harker, how was DVR's running today? Pre-christmas it was shocking hopefully hes shown improvement or i just dont see him lasting next year with rotations getting worse.

If DVR can't keep up, it's hard to see him last.
The kid has some great traits but there isn't much room for players running out of puff easily.
Cripps and Whiley are running like guns now and I'm sure the CFC would like DVR to join the likes.

This makes me uncomfortable about Jaksch, not that i already wasn't.

Thing about Jaksch is that I don't think he'll ever be suited to being the big key CHF/CHB type. I'm hopeful that with that addition of Weitering and McKay, and improvement from Casboult, the pressure will be off him in that respect and he can worry about becoming a quality third tall/swingman type, which is I think is more his style.

Don't see it personally, though many make the same observation. Good mark but doesn't judge it well enough and can't use his body, nice looking set shot but doubt he will get enough shots at goal. The main comparison that everyone wants to turn him into but can he kick a goal on the run, dribble one in, na-na from the boundary or through congestion? I haven't seen it, not enough to call him a fwd. If he makes it, it'll be in the backline.

At least he has nailed the key aspects of playing footy.

I headed into training yesterday, first time this preseason. Boy did I pick the correct day to go

What stood out to me was simply how much more talk there is throughout the group. Even the rehab boys had a drill on the opposite side of the ground and boy were they loud. Even if we lack the talent, the feeling around the squad makes up for it tenfold. Awesome to see.

As for individuals,

Curnow will be superb for us. Tried to take a hanger in the match simulation drill. Will always pull out something new.

Murph, was running nicely alongside Kerridge but noticed his left shoulder wasn't moving that well. Hope that heals well in the next few weeks.

Korcheck is just a huge man. Is reading the ball quite well for a bloke so new to the game.

And last but not least, SOJ (Son of Jo they were calling him ). So much natural talent and smarts. Just the way he moves. Hope he can fill out in the next few years because right now I'm excited.

Those were just the main ones who stood out to me. Plenty of other good stories accross the ground.

Will 100% try and get back in the next few weeks. Bolts' methods are so much different to Mick's in that there's just so much going on. Always on the move and always learning. Just a different 'feel' about the place. The club was even handing out gatorades and water in the hot weather. Simple things like that wouldn't of been done 5 years ago.
