There was one point during the interview that even after Gill had finished answering Robbo's accusatory ramblings that Gill just "eyeballed" him for about an extra 5 seconds even though Gerard had already started asking another question.

It was a real "stare down" - Gill was clearly very unimpressed.

I laughed!!

Just the change in Gills demeanor between the two panellists. It was marked. Ive never seen more visible contempt in an interviewee ever.

He spoke well Gill. Ive never warmed to him before, but I can see how he got the top job.

Former WADA boss John Fahey rubbishes appeal claim for Essendon 34

hee hee

Fantastic response from Fahey and all rings true...Hirdites will flip over it though.. they'll start pointing the finger at him now other than those responsible 'cos that's how they roll!

Particularly these comments...

"I thought it was an extraordinarily clear and convincing judgment"

"It (the judgment) is very logical and I can't imagine anyone who read that judgment, whether they are a lawyer or not, coming to a different conclusion to the one the tribunal itself came to.

"OK, there are consequences, but are we prepared to put up with cheats?"

"The 34 players knew what they were doing," he said.

"They actually signed a statutory declaration – they took an oath which carries a criminal penalty for failure.

"In fact, we had a NSW former federal court judge who did two-and-a-half years' jail for signing a false statutory declaration. They are the consequences of taking an oath.

"They signed declarations, so they can't say they didn't know they were doing something.

"And surely they didn't think they were doing that to whiten their teeth – getting all those injections."

Damning!

It was as if Gill was saying "Gerard please ask me a question so I don't have to talk to this rambling drunk with his nonsensical accusations on my left".

Gill did handle it very well - certainly better than I would have!!

The sad part about it is Robbo holds a quite important role in Melbourne and actually has the opportunity to genuinely be the "voice of the people" and have the pulpit to be an agent of change.

Completely wasted on him.

Ironically when I typed "Robbo" earlier in this post auto-correct changed the spelling to "Yobbo".

Auto correct is very smart!!
