Really depends on his role when they get their full compliment of midfielders back, was used mainly as a tagger last season after playing a lot on a back flank, was a gun inside midfielder as a junior. Good call.

Zac williams and Tom Sheridan have been in and out of my team. Both speculative, but they save you 50K over B Smith.

Malceski is another option in the Williams/Sheridan price range with a better scoring history. Far less upside though, and I have my doubts that he will ever reach premo status again.

How did BSmith play on the weekend? Scored 52 with 80% TOG in a big win seems very disappointing.

Had him penciled in, but I traded him in after the bye last season and he stunk it up with too many mediocre scores not sure I'll be going with him again (considering he's only had one season of premo scoring).

Didn't see the match on the weekend so can't comment there, but in regards to Brodie, he's not worth the headache imo.
Crows have so many half backs and wingman that I think he'll have another low year. His scoring is very up and down, even in his 90+ averaging year his scores were erratic. I also don't think his ceiling is that high, a great year will only see a ~90 average.
He's a big no for me. Pittard, Yeo and Rich are much better options

Yeah I dropped Smith from my last team and can only see Libba and maybe Greene as decent midpricers to start with.
It's hard with the Crows this year. Will Sloane suffer without Danger there, will Jacobs suffer also, Crouch's body hold up, Smith and Laird where will they play with a new coach?
Lynch is probally their safest pick to average the same or a bit more. His role can not be touched and he can only get better.

I honestly wouldn't take anything away from the crows v eagles game.

You won't find a worse (or more disinterested) team than what west coast put up all year.

There was very little structure from both teams, Adelaide were basically in training mode for 3/4 of the game.

Don't discount Smith or Yeo just yet.

I was never going to start with Yeo but I have a keen eye on him as a upgrade target, Smith is not going near my team
he'll have to show some consistency first.

For me, Shaw, Boyd and McVeigh are locks.

Laird, KK, Houli and Rance are quite likely.

And I'd probably say Bartel, Enright and Simpson are very probable (Birchall is my smokey).

Obviously that's quite an old top 10, and I'm sure there'll be a couple more youngsters in there.

I think if Hogan, Frost and at times Gawn, or even Dawes, can hold down the key forward spots at Melbourne, I see no reason why Tom McDonald can't score as well as he did last year. It was really when he was moved from the back line his scoring suffered. Other smokies to enter the top 10 for me are Roberton, Docherty and Langdon. Simpson is always roundabout too.
