Y'know, I was thinking about this situation earlier and here's the thing. Last year I spent much of the season concerned about our kpd stocks going forward.

Now, we will have games where the backs sgruggle still, eg the last quarter last week. But how GOOD is it knowing we already have the solution ready to come in next year?! As frustrating as it is not to have Jake now, it's one less headache come the end of the year.

He'll be fresh in body and mind too. A healthier JC than we'd have playing this year if no ban was served. It's going to be a positive in the end I feel.

This is ridiculous. I have no love for Fletch or Essendon, but if he's just going to watch his kid and acting in no official capacity, then what possibly could be the harm? Seems excessively punitive.

I have a spare seat on Level 2 if Jake can pass for my five year old son.

It was because the game was being played at Tullamarine. Fletch can watch his son play every other game this season but he cannot step foot on Tulla and that's why he couldn't watch that game.

Saad would come to the occasional game during his ban, sitting in my bay where the non-playing players sit.

There's also occasionally development coaches with them (always funny watching a bunch of footy players doing their homework on clipboards) who I think it would be good for Jake to catch up with during games, in a social manner of course.

He may not have been allowed out on the ground or in the rooms but he can attend the match. He went and saw Essendon last weekend. Carlise can go and sit with the other saints players but he cant go in the room or talk about training but as if they wont.
