All eyes on Adelaide United today as they aim to end a major sporting drought for Soccer in this city. Not since the early 90s have we won a roundball GF (discounting the cup last year).

It's been 12 years since an SA footballing side won a GF, and most of us didn't care about that game. The Redbacks won an ODD title 4 years ago after so much rubbish and its been 14 years since I last saw a side of mine win a GF (Sturt 02).

Today must be the day. 50K fans expected.

UNITED WE STAND

COYR
All eyes? Don't think so.
There's some important paint drying for me.

Richmond's season is probably all but over if it wasnt already. Cotchin with a broken cheekbone. I have to wonder if the Alberton thugs did that?

Probably wasn't. Cotchin, as much as he wears shit from his supporters is one of the few Tiges to put himself on the line. Watched the whole game last night and saw nothing thuggish though I did drink a bottle of red and a six pack so I may have missed something

Maybe the tigs supporters threw something as he walked off the ground.

Is Troy a chance to line up against Geelong? Dan and Troy are yet to play against each other in the AFL. It'd be great to change that in a fortnight's time.
i reckon the ball is in his court... needs to demand selection with a stand out game... he appears to be edging closer to it...
and might not get that gig till the second half of the season.

In the year we sacked Sando we had very similar flat track bully wins over shit sides, exactly what Port did to Richmond and Essendon.

We:
  • Beat St Kilda twice by over 75 points
  • Beat GWS twice by over 65 points
  • Beat Brisbane by 105 points
However we only beat 2 of the Top 8 teams from that year, and lost to Melbourne and Carlton.

I can see Port's season playing out in a very similar fashion

Well done Power, good to beat Victorian teams at the G ... never easy, doing it without a lot of their quality too.

Geelong at home are like West Coast at home or Hawks at home (or GWS at ahome or GC at home or ...) - very different proposition. Looking forward to testing ourselves down at the Cattery this year.
I'm as equally excited about Geelong taking on Adelaide here at Adelaide Oval. I don't think I'm going to be able to get a ticket, though. :(

Listening to triple m Melbourne online talking to Danger. They are speaking about how well the cats are going but have they beaten anyone of significance?
Hawks in the first game, but since then they hot beaten by GWS and then beat bombers, Brisbane, port and GC.
They have to be the most overrated club in the comp.

That wet white uniform isn';t very flattering to Buddy.

It makes him look like he had a fat gut on him. Too many trips to KFC with Disco Stu

I have seriously considered doing that as my wife's a Crows supporter and she could use it for the other two matches. Lucky for me I don't have the same problem with the other S.A. side. I can rock up at the gate and purchase a ticket to any Port game Geelong plays (barring 2014).

I can see why Bicks was so hot on Hewett, kid looks a gun

Beat me to it lol

I think our chances of luring George back home have almost completely dashed now he's finally getting a chance to display his undoubted talent....3 goals in the first quarter today won't help.

I'd best describe George Hewett as a turbo charged version of Jarryd Lyons.....
