Movie X-Men: Apocalypse

I've not been much of a fan of this new trilogy at all, last one I liked more than the first however.

Eh, it has Apocalypse so I'll be seeing it.

Depends what you want in a movie. Critics go off a whole bunch of criteria.

If it is the X-Men ****ing the bad guys up, then it is fine by me.

Yeah just had a look at my local and the cinema is about 15% full in terms of advance bookings, will be surprised if it is more than half full.

When he's rebuilding the school and everyone's all happy with him I had to stop myself actually saying "HANG ON".

There was so much destruction but it was so poorly handled I never really felt any of it. Like, billions of people probably died but at no point did I really feel those stakes. There was just so much, too much in fact, going on. Which is the films main problem.

Non spoiler summary: It's no BvS disaster, certainly not as bad as I feared, but it is overloaded and muddled. Too much going on for me that nothing really has any significance.

Sheridan, Smit-McPhee and Peters the highlights. McAvoy was solid I guess. Fassbender and J-Law were poor by their standards. Isaac was utterly wasted. As was Psylocke really.

Bouncing between a 2.5 and a 3.
