I was just thinking about Bernie Quinlan being acting captain...

Against Carlton, I think, around 1971-2. Took it very seriously - got in to a number of Blueboys, tackled hard, ran straight at the oppo, which wasn't always his style.

I was pretty young then, but I do remember we lost.

I dont think Moyd even likes the role of skipper. What real value is there in giving the job to another player this week? Sort of cheapens the whole position for me.

Very predictable dribble. Acquiring Tom Boyd has silenced the "Dogs won't win a flag without a key forward" line we heard for years. Now it's "They gotta do it on the 'G'".

For what it's worth, we haven't lost a game at the 'G' this year, yet we've lost a game at Etihad.

Hopefully later in the year they write an article about how Melbourne clubs based at Etihad should be given more opportunity on the 'G' in the 2017 fixturing. They won't...they'll want to recycle this article next year (of course if we don't win the big one this year)

Bev was asked during the presser if occasionally the seek advice from other clubs given the like of Cyril Rioli has similar ongoing issues. From memory the drink just said that 'people in the medical fraternity' often speak between themselves and share knowledge to ensure the best outcome for the players..

Marcus Adams named at CHB team of the week. Its a bit scary actually how much we depend on a guy who has played a handful of games. But also awesome because of his scope for improvement with experience. Playing next to Moz must be like a master class every week.

Its his third or fourth time being in team of the week in his first 10 games. Absolute freak.
