Hawthorn's Premeirship tally - A result of zoning and nothing else

Might be time you accept the fact that your club has had severe issues for a long time and THAT is what is responsible for your poor record rather than making yourself feel better by blaming someone else.

are you frothing Mr Strawman?

You can attempt to take the argument as far away from the topic as you like, as I said I've addressed the topic, and my points on football's greatest free kick still stand.

Mate, I get a child of the eighties jumping on a bandwagon, it's alright. My kid's probably rocking a GSW top as we speak.

not worth my time

even guzzlejizz pwnwd you on that diversionary strawman

if you want to play circle work I'll quote myself

as I said, i stand by the first 11 pages on the greatest free kick in history.

1. You named 8 players over a 18 year period. There are 18 players on a football field.

2. All clubs had zones so your bizarre Geoff Olgivy analogy doesn't hold water.

3. You don't take into account culture, 10 year rule, coterie groups, financials, interstate recruits or advances in coaching in any of your 'research'.

4. You still can't explain how Hawthorn won all our flags with the same zone your mob had and won jack shit with.

5. Russell Greene himself said, your culture stunk. That Hawthorn prolonged his career and St. Kilda were more interested in boozing. He's given you the answer but you refuse to acknowledge it.

You're a bitter supporter with no real answers.

Enjoy your denial. :thumbsu:

Haha, you've highlighted one area based on the fact one club made it work.

And I wasn't born in the 80's. A bit earlier than that.

But yeah, you keep making the assumptions and I'll stick with giving you the facts. :thumbsu:

ok this is the last time I'll amuse myself, sorry i meant this is the last time I'll amuse mys.. sorry this is the last time I'll amuse you

I named 8 from one team, as an example

2. All clubs had zones so your bizarre Geoff Olgivy analogy doesn't hold water.

Only one had metropolitan Melbourne's primary growth area as their country zone.

3. You don't take into account culture, 10 year rule, coterie groups, financials, interstate recruits or advances in coaching in any of your 'research'.

No, I'm particularly addressing the greatest free kick in football history

4. You still can't explain how Hawthorn won all our flags with the same zone your mob had and won jack shit with.

"the same" is not factual

5. Russell Greene himself said, your culture stunk. That Hawthorn prolonged his career and St. Kilda were more interested in boozing. He's given you the answer but you refuse to acknowledge it.

Saints culture was poor, got it. One of the other 11 clubs had a poor culture, pretty sure we agree on that diversion.

FFS even Guzzlejizz batted that one 10 rows deep.

free kick, no question you kicked the goal, i thought i had made that clear, a number of years ago

Travis Cloke might have missed

I didn't say you were

but far be it for me to criticise your comprehension skills

if you could keep these 'facts' on topic that would be great

bye

That's factually incorrect.

Only one had metropolitan Melbourne's primary growth area as their country zone.

So Rosebud was a growth area in 1975 but:
- Melton (Footscray's old zone) wasn't?
- Ferntree Gully (Norf) wasn't?
- Templestowe/Doncaster (Fitzroy) wasn't?
- Broadmeadows (Carlton) wasn't?

No, I'm particularly addressing the greatest free kick in football history

That multiple teams got but only Hawthorn gets highlighted about?

Seems legit.

"the same" is not factual

You got Karingal, Mt Eliza, Seaford, Frankston.

Your zone got bigger, ours got smaller and yet you stayed shithouse.

You also had one of the largest country leagues (still less than an hour from the City) as your 'country zone' which got you your greatest full back and full forward and you still did bugger all with that too.

Funny that.

froth froth froth

Your tears are delicious.

Please keep them coming. :)

Far be it for me to question your compreh..... froth froth froth

But in creating yet another strawman you've missed the word "Primary"

Their Grand Final opponents tended to play on the MCG more than once a year.

Naw, it's always sad when minnow clubs who've done nothing for 15 years think they're still relevant.

How often did Brisbane play on the MCG in 2001 when they knocked you off? Only twice... :$

The southern part of the Mornington Peninsula was the 'primary' growth area of Melbourne?

Hahaha, that's a good one. :thumbsu:

Needs more roof. :)

I wish we had as good culture of other clubs who dont have bandwagoners like me supporting them. I am jealous of all the other culbs who have supporters who turn up thick and thin while hawks fans run to the hills at the first sign of trouble.?

We only won our flags through zoning and I do know that our team is full of campaigners who drink drive, rape, assault people, do copious amnout of drugs so my club has to have an injunction in order to save them.
Falchoon you need to get the Gooese to English translator so that dribblers like Hawkk become much easier to read and you can tell what they truly mean psychologically :thumbsu:

This is a friendly place so you can tell us why you are insecure hawkk :rainbow:

Oh dear.

That's all you seem to say, Rain Man.

Holiday houses and retirees is a growth area. You sure are funny. :)

Derp. That's the point. Brisbane's thee-peat is an infinitely better achievement as they managed to defeat Melbourne based clubs on the MCG each time.

As it stands, Hawthorn would have comfortably been beaten in Perth or Sydney and therefore can have their flags attributed to another happy circumstance that has nothing to do with merit, being the arbitrary venue chosen to host the grand final.

We're at about 2 legit flags now. Well done, you're better than St Kilda. Just.

Beat the Minor Premiers on their home deck to make it.

Derp indeed. :)

Not sure about this at all. The Hawthorn Football Club defeated the minor premier away in the 2015 Preliminary Final last year. I understand the salty tears. The Dankers almost had a 3peat from 1999-2001

Brisbane, there was a free kick.

Sure they converted excess depth players in to picks thus used on the likes of Simon Black (in addition to the more obvious Brown, C Johnson types) , but it was a hefty free kick nonetheless.
