Positives: Hodge was solid, Lewis is definitely back to near his best, Birchall's best game for the year, Sicily played another great game, our defence stood up yet again led by Gibbo, Hartung recovered from a shaky start, Hill's best game for a while, four points and no injuries

Negatives: Minus 16 in contested possession, poor use of the footy going inside 50, indecisive once we got inside F50 and hospital hand passes galore.

Good to get the win but same story as most games in that we need to play better to contend.

Had to attend a wedding, so only saw the last quarter and a half. Thought Ceglar., Stratton, Mitch., Lewis, Sic., Hilly shouldn't have started names, as many were very good. Gunner, TOB and Poppy were quiet.

The game was probably a good work out going into the bye. Now let's hope tigers work over, and soften up Port for us on Thursday week.

I thought Stratton was very good. Along with Mitch, Sicily and Ceglar.

Stratton has been criminally underrated for years now across the wider fan base. Only Hawks fans appreciate how good he is, and how integral to our success he's been. Today was just another typical Stratton game, but you won't see anyone outside the club recognise him for it.

stratton, mitchell , cegs and sicily best on . how much longer can we carry Mcevoy ? so slow and barely wins a hitout , wouldn't mind shoe back to see if he can play that fwd/ pinch hit ruckman like a ben brown . He won't win the hitouts but it's not like we do anyway with mcevoy in there

These wins will hold us in good stead in finals when it's close and low scoring. All year we've found ways to win and gritted our teeth. I'm extremely happy with where we are. Btw, Stratton won't be AA but he definitely will be Top 4 in our B&f, looking at career best season imo. Breust is getting the ball a lot more in games where he isn't kicking too many goals which is a good sign. Sicily was just as good as last week all things considered and great to see Cegs play so well. Btw, welcome back Hodgey you GUN! Lazy 28.

Another ridiculous jersey clash.

Well, I loved It. Surely you realise it was for CANCER? Whether you like it or not, the colour shouldn't matter. I don't care if it's green with purple spots, , as long they raise money for CANCER. ONE day , just ONE day they will wear them for, and you complain about the colours. FGS, The Scotts are Whingers, now we have some grizzlers in here..:rolleyes::rolleyes: Maybe they should design one THEY Like!

Just got home. GC played pretty damn well. Poppy had a dirty day and just couldn't get near it much early. Every time we got a mark inside the 50 meter arcnear the boundary line at the Ract stand, we then passed it Nicely to a gc player. Really didn't see much running to open space for the next guy to run into.

Cegs, hodge, Mitch, Sicily were great. Thought McEvoy and Frawley were a tad ordinary.

Bit scrubby but a wins a win. Good amount of fwd entries gcs stacking all bar one behind the ball on most occasions probs made most of those entries look untidy. Great to see some nice unbroken chains of play coming from the back half in the last quarter, most resulting in scores. Fantastic to see glorious leader back. Top of the tree going into the bye , gotta be happy with that.

How ridiculous is it that Sam Mitchell is still racking up 35 possession games at 80%+ efficiency at 33 years old? Given he plays the game standing still he could literally play till he is 40 as long as he doesn't suffer any long term injuries. Rapidly moving up the ranking for all time Hawthorn greats.
