Is this the US Malice? They released two albums in the mid 80s. Classic US metal sound. Couple of years back they rerecorded a heap of their songs with James Riveria from Helstar on vocals.
Cool, I'll have a closer look sometime. Great intro for sure on the RW track, sounds familiar, mite have just herd it ages ago.

Ok. You'll be happy to know that I am on a train to Hokkaido at the moment and am knocking back an Asahi.

Knocking off a beer on the train like it's the flipping Hursty line mate! hahaha

Gold. Did some of my best work on the Hursty line.

It is legal over here though.

Malice slot them in beautifully alongside Warrior's "Fighting for the Earth ('85); and Icon's self-titled debut ('84) and follow-up "Night of the Crime ('85).

See Warrior below- One of the great 80s videos....

Good album. Never heard Icon - will check them out.

An Aussie drinking on a train in a foreign country.......well I never.....[emoji12]

Yes but it is legal here. Quite common to see blokes having a beer on a long train ride. They even sell them onboard sometimes.

Went to the Shinjuku store today, it had the Vektor album. Picked up another 15 or so cds. Early night tonight - the 10 pints of Guinness last evening has sort of taken the wind out of my sails.

I think when you get back (time permitting) you may need to give your fellow Metal Thread brothers a full stocktake of your Japan purchases. Sounds like you will need a 2nd suitcase.

Astonishing. Can you imagine the mess selling grog on our trains? Jesus.....

When I first came here I had the exact same thoughts. It would not be pleasent to go there, whereabouts here in Japan it is a non issue. Beer on trains. Beer in vending machines. Beer at 7/11. Just goes to show how poorly behaved we are. Vending machines now require an id card to prove you are over 20. Wasn't like that when I came here early 2000s. Couldn't work out why the underagers were not abusing it as I certainly would have been. I have seen full bottles of Jack Daniels in these machines.

Yep. People here would try and take the whole damn machine. Enjoy, bloody freezing here.

Grab us a Samurai Sword while you're over there...and not one of those shitty ones from a tourist shop

Quo Vadis "Defiant Imagination". Really enjoy this from 2004. Death metal from Quebec.

Not sure I love the vocals but musically that's really cool. I always love the sound of fretless band, especially in metal.

**** I love Ghoul. Such a fun band, and so many killer riffs,

I am also stoked to discover that Rites of thy Degringolade are back together. Happened a year ago so it appears Im a little behind on that news. Great band.
