We need to keep playing one less tall in the back-line. No surprise we have a lot more run with smalls like Ruggles and Bews back there.
Cowan isn't upto it but I suspect the coaching staff will want to see a bit more before deciding his fate at seasons end.
Guthrie and Blicavs need a spell. Play someone like Scooter and Horlin-Smith who will want to give it a red hot go and see if Guthrie and Blicavs recapture that drive in the VFL.
Geelong failed to beat up on Essendon when they were in better form last time they met so hoping for a 80-100 point drubbing is probably not realistic.
In Henderson Kersten Lang S.Selwood
Out Lonergan Menzel McCarthy Duncan (sus)
Fraught with danger predicting what "chook lotto" will come up with, but if he goes for that I may just consider giving the game away.
It is clear that he'll be found guilty
Nothings clear with that bunch of dropkicks, but even if found guilty a fine would be the most likely outcome considering there was no head contact with the ground and no injury sustained.
Scott Selwood, Caddy and Henderson in.
There will be some temptation to play Clark too, just in case he is needed should there be a September injury.
McCarthy, Cowan, Kolo will be nervous. And there might be one rested player if they are a bit sore.
Crows are currently 4.4% behind us - roughly how much would they need to beat Essendon by today to overtake us?
As for next week, time to be ruthless. If we meander along to a 4-5 goal win it will probably feel like a loss given it's clear top 2/top 4 will be decided by percentage. The Bombers have put up the odd competitive performance of late (v GWS and St Kilda) so we need to crack then early and pile on the goals.
OUT:
Lonergan (managed)
Menzel (managed - keep those ankles and knees away from Etihad)
Menegola
Cowan
IN:
Henderson
Caddy
S. Selwood
Lang
I was surprised Kersten was dropped v Dogs but it's hard to make a case for him getting back in next week with all of Hawkins, Stanley and Smith very good or better.
I'm still not sure what our best 22 is come finals but I expect the players on the fringe (Lang, Murdoch, GHS, Clark) to get at least another game in case they're needed.
They will rest some players. Won't know final 22 until the first week of finals. We really need to win this one big. 80 points is what we want.

IN: the wind
OUT: Blicavs
No one from the VFL deserves a spot this week
