If you delist yourself which he is doing by not accepting a contract offer you must go into the ND.
Well that makes things far more interesting.......doubt Essendon will want to give up pick one, in a trade or in the ND for Omeara so IMHO that rules them out.
Collingwood would be stupid to add another mid, rules them out.
Carlton I think have said they want to use their 1st pick in the ND, rules them out.
Saints I think will want to use their 1st this year, rules them out.

Leaves Hawthorn, Melbourne, North and Bulldogs as Melbourne based clubs he could go to.
If Melbourne are interested and are willing to give their first, I think GC will do their best to get him there

Melbourne don't have a first

Dogs aren't interested, they don't need him. Not sure you have ruled out the right clubs either.

North or Hawks for mine, unless GC continue being dicks in which case EFC are in play.

Nope, played a straight bat & said we aren't in a spot to comment about any player. Our focus is on finals not player movements yet.
That's not what he said at all.

How does that rule Collingwood out? Given what my club has dished up over the past 18 months making stupid decisions seems like the perfect play to me. I mean the fact we now have a Netball franchise should say it all...

Pretty much did, it's a Graham Wright question. He also said that Jaeger is like 25th player to be linked to us. Also Clarko said in another press conference that they'll never confirm or deny interest on any player during the season.

HAWTHORN coach Alastair Clarkson was tight-lipped on Saturday morning about the possibility of departing Gold Coast young gun Jaeger O'Meara moving to the Hawks.

On Thursday, the Suns released a statement to say the 22-year-old wanted to move interstate. As he has not been in the system long enough to be classed as a free agent, any club wishing to acquire O'Meara would have to trade for him, or select him in either the NAB AFL Draft or the pre-season draft.

The three-time reigning premiers have been linked to the midfielder, whose persistent knee injuries have meant he has not been seen on an AFL field since 2013.

"It's a (Hawks list manager) Graham Wright question. We're probably not in a position as a club right now to have comment on it," Clarkson said at training on Saturday.

"He's just name No.25 that's been linked to Hawthorn that (everyone) has read in the press as much as I have. I'm amused sometimes with all the names that get linked to us.

"It's only just come out this week that Jaeger's given the indication that he wants to move."

The Hawks face Collingwood on Sunday afternoon at the MCG, in a clash that will have significant ramifications on their finals spot.

A win could have them as high as first, but a loss could see them fall to seventh.

Premiership forward Ryan Schoenmakers is back in the team for the first time since round three after being hampered by a groin issue.

"He's missed a fair amount of footy," Clarkson said.

"His last six or eight weeks he's slowly been able to build some strength up in his body and overcome that groin problem.

"It's a little bit of the unknown, but what we do know is he brings a really strong presence for us when he plays in the front half and he's capable for us to do some good things in the back half when we require him to do so."

I thought that as well

Is that right? Do the journos really not read like anything?

That's incorrect. Players who delist themselves have always been able to choose to nominate for either only the PSD or both the ND and the PSD. Players like Nick Stevens, Mal Michael, Jed Lamb, Zac Dawson and others have taken the former approach.

The difference used to be that you could only specify contract demands in the PSD but you've been able to do so in the ND for some time now (pre-Luke Ball).

Correct, both sides are playing games. He has told GC he does not want to go there so GC, who are pissed off are trying to make him go there (Cochrane is a nut) and now his management are making it he might in order to scare GC into dealing elsewhere or he goes into the PSD.

Feels a lot like the Nick Stevans trade, anyone who thinks they are going to get him for unders is kidding himself. If he is medically sound he is an absolute jet with many years in front of him.

How'd the Nick Stevens trade end up?

Cochrane carried on like a complete flog with seemingly no concept of the ramifications of his actions.

People saying collingwood would be stupid to bring in another mid are stupid. We have alot of good mids but JOM has good pace, is as elite as it gets when it comes to kicking, wins plenty of the ball and kicks goals. There is not a team in the comp who would not want a fit JOM.

Not sure we could get it done and his knees are a concern but a fit Omeara makes my mouth water.

My sources tell me this is incorrect, he is actually a complete flog.
I actually take no notice of Club Presidents and couldn't even tell you who ours was until this.
But l think you might be on the money.
The V8 thing is a far cry from the Countries most popular /professional sporting competition.
