Not going with this bearded **** also killed my season along with Stef Martin being poleaxed by that horrific campaigner Steven the dickwad May.Gawn instead of Stef would of got me an extra 800SC points for the year.
Plus an extra Captain option.

Yeo Yeo. What was I thinking

I'm keen on Shooter, Gaff too!!My Supercoach season...
That's a big 10-4 rubber duckyI'm keen on Shooter, Gaff too!!
Biggest disappointments of the year who either remained in my side for too long or for the whole friggin' year:
Yeo - 2 or 3 shits scores in a row and I give him one more chance and he gets 90 something so I keep him. Wash rinse and repeat for the whole year. Should've shit-canned him mid-way through the year but ended up keeping him all year. Probably burnt me more than anyone else.
The old man insisted I go with Sauce Jacobs and the spud scores nothing but 70s and 80s all year but I hold onto him because of the rare 90 or 100 scores. Definitely not going with Weak Sauce next year.
Josh Gibson - Didn't start with him but got him in after that crazy 170 point game. He proceeds to score over 100 maybe 2 or 3 times for the rest of the year and serves up a bunch of 50s and 60s. Held onto him all year. He's cooked. No way will he be in my side next year.
Daniel Rich - Very similar to Yeo. Scores shit for like 2-3 weeks in a row and then gives me a 90+ or very rare 100+ game so I hold on to him. I think he averaged under 90 for the year. Not worth the price. May as well pay 30 grand more for a much beter and more consistent scorer of which there were numerous options.
Charlie Dixon - I just had a feeling he was gonna kill it at Port this year. He had a very low price at the beginning and I was convinced he'd make money and earn points. That he did not. The first 3-4 rounds he got pretty meh scores of like 40 and 50 and I thought he might just take some time to settle into a new side and then he'd go on a tear. Nope. What was his highest score? 80 something? Got a few 70s and 80s out of him but mostly 30s and 40s and even some 20s. I moved him on far too late into the season. Burnt me badly. I vastly overrated his abilities. A definite no-go next year.
Rhys Stanley - Not very expensive at the start but still spudded it up way too often and didn't deserve to keep his spot. Should've moved him on but kept him the whole season.
Ben Brown I really thought would come up and put a stamp on this year but he only had a small handful of good games and served up way too many 60s and 70s. Again, I stuck with him all year.
Sam Mitchell - I hate the smug little shit-head and really didn't want him in my team....but after that 140+ game early in the year, I put him in.....only for him to average about 70 for the next 5 or so weeks. Got rid of him after the 6th week. Of course, a few games later he bounces back and is back to averaging 100+......fvcking little dick-head....
Darcy Byrne-Jones - ONLY because I kept him long after everybody else moved him on. I was low on money and needed to make other trades. He totally burnt out for the last 5 or 6 games and got pathetic scores in the 30s and 40s.
Jack Viney - Kind of. Teases you with massive scores well over a hundred and then gives you the odd 50, 60, 70 game. I hate inconsistency, especially at his price. Only had him for the 2nd half of the year
Tom Hickey - Never again lived up to that massive score he got at the start of the year. Served up too many shitty scores well below a hundred. Another inconsistent player that gave me the shits. Moved him out late into the season.
Gold Coast players in general - Got in and then assholed too many of these injury machines. Burned me on trades big time.
Tom Bugg - Got him in mid-way through the year after going on a tear and getting a great score well over a hundred. Proceeds to burn me over and over again with 40s and 50s. **** you Heath Shaw for talking this guy up on the Footy Show.
There's more guys I moved out of my team way back in the first half of the season that I can't even remember now.
A final MASSIVE **** you to Max Gawn and Jamie MacMillan for the scores they gave me in the last game of the season and Gawn was my CAPTAIN for that game against Geelong! MacMillan went off injured before qtr time with 23 and I had Matt Dea ON THE BENCH with 126. That's SC for you.
See yall' next year!
This makes me feel better about my season. Thanks![]()
Yeo and Mitchell all year. DBJ (who was excellent for a back rookie)Which of the players I mentioned did you have in your team at any point?
Yeo and Mitchell all year. DBJ (who was excellent for a back rookie)
Why because I suck. Why did you hold onto Yeo all year? and what made you hang on to Mitchell after that string of woeful games early/mid year?

Wowser
Great read
Certainly some interesting selections
This makes me feel better about my season. Thanks![]()
Surely Stef (yeah I picked him) was a a good pickup as well, was on the rise and is more durable than NicNat and Gawn prior to this year.C'mon Toxic, call it like it is buddy.
Woeful selections. Bugg, Brown, Stanley and Dixon shouldn't be anywhere near your side, and Gibson, Rich and Yeo are, well, let's say speculative at best. Jacobs understandable, but I couldn't fathom why anyone went past Goldy, Nicnat and Gawn this year. Gawn was a lock, and if you didn't want to pay Goldy's price you went with NicNat.
Ummm yes
If I consult with myself too much more it will fall off.Otherwise your first rule of 2017 shall be...
I must consult the good folk of bigfooty SC world to critique my starting Rd1 side.
No need to rub it inI'm hopeful you'll take this as a constructive piece on your side!
It was bloody horrible!
On a positive note I'll offer to help you prior to round one if you want too.
More posting and playing SC the better!

Simples, not having Zmerret.
