Quayle is one of those journalists who seems to go with an open mind. She let's the player tell the story. It doesn't need embellishing or exaggeration or moralising.

Everyone has a story worth hearing and she let's us hear it.

Have said for a while he will be more Brad Ottens than Tom Hawkins and tonight showed that. Busted his arse and fought to his last breath against the most physical ruck in the comp.

Give him 2-3 years playing as the #1 with Roughead in support and he will be ripping teams apart from the middle.

Its not what anyone thought you were buying but it's going to work just as well in Bevo's system.

...after Lobbe kicked the goal, Patton is clearly yelling, "[Something] (how's that?) Boydy".

Just wow.

Cameron 5 touches, 1 mark, 1 tackle.
Patton sh1t himself late when the game was on the line, and then ranted at the umpire about a mark that he wasn't even looking at...

...meanwhile, after an average start, Tom rucks 75% of the game and still has time to be competing at either end.

They both should be embarrassed. While we, should be thankful.

Great effort by Boyd going one out with Mumford, a little bit of help from Zaine,he will still be a gun forward but will be excellent in the ruck when he runs though there.

Made a tired error with that handball but he was great. So vital for our team. Improving all the time.

Was really good today. On numerous occasions this year he has had to ruck more than play forward and he was out on his feet tonight but continued to battle hard. Onya Boydy. turning into a real player.
