I agree that tall forwards aren't what they were, and having a power forward isn't really necessary these days. My main concern is, the way our list is setup, if Moore gets injured again, unless we are planning on relying on jesse White going forward, we legit have nothing. Who will play Moores role if Moore goes down? One thing all the good teams have in common is depthI'd argue the last 4 flags have been won without a true dominant key forward. dogs didn't have one. roughdead isnt a dominant big (he plays more like medium tall) and gunston is a 3rd tall. their biggest talls were the resting rucks in hale and macevoy.
buddy is an interesting case. hasn't won a GF since going to Sydney and the hawks have won 2 since. were the hawks better when he left? and is he the really helping Sydney win a flag?
I'm happy with multiple mobile marking targets in moore, white, Elliot, fasolo, mayne.
carlton an brisbane have drafted young talls in the last couple of drafts. we'll see how they go in a few years.
