Here are a few players I know we have spoken to lately:
- Hugh Goddard (nothing happening we just inquired)
- Liam Duggan (enquired about the liklihood of him coming back to vic, which was a resounding NO)
- Paul Ahern, WHE (his management) + Pickett's management (Future 2nd round pick for 2 of 3, if we can convince Pickett or WHE to come here)
- We were in the ear of Darcy Gardiner before he re-signed with Brisbane
- In contact with Toby Nankervis management (most likely go to Richmond more potential for playing time)
- Spoken to GC about Hall, Matt Shaw, Henry Schade and Brandon Matera (Unlikely anything will come of it, although we were into Schade in his draft year)
- In constant contact with Adelaide about Lyons.
- Inquired about Nakia Cockatoo
- Looking at Jack Hannath as a mature age ruck back up


In addition.
- Hansen, Mullett, Tippett, Mckenzie and Black all on the table. Hansen, Mullett and Black have a bit of interest but I'm tipping nothing will happen until the majority of those bigger trades go through.

One of my colleagues' son is a decent junior soccer player. He has been in spain from age 14 without family, had to learn another language, go to school, and play soccer in the hope of making it in the big league. Agree that a lot of these footy players have lived a somewhat sheltered life and need to grow up somewhat.

Those who did were a bit silly to think we would want Riedwoldt and think Swallow was worth 14. Then this was quickly followed by Zorko to north and now zacharakis from *.

That's alright. Eye to the future as I see it. Could potentially be better than paying hand over fist for riskier better established players like O'Meara and D. Swallow.

That doesn't really matter though. Its how they hold up over the next 10 years thats important. If we managed to get them cheap AND they return to and stay at full fitness the thats a bargain.
