Adelaide: get ??? give Lyon's

What do gold coast give to Adelaide?

Wouldn't Hawthorn give to Adelaide under that scenario?

You don't build a winning team by losing good players for nothing! You can get a seriously good player for pick 10. A player that can be used in trades in upcoming years. Take note of what GWS has done. They've been palming off good young players for the last few years and are now in premiership contention. They don't posture about making a stand, they just get the job done.

Picks 10 and 48 is pretty fair for a guy who hasn't played in 2 years and have injury concerns. Picking him up is a risk, one we're seemingly prepared to take but still a risk. Bit much to ask for more than that.

Not to mention, if he ends up at Essendon, you won't 'have a seriously good player now'. And if Essendon don't, are you really going to re-draft a player that doesn't want to play for you? It's not like he's just trying his luck on a trade and will happily stay if it doesn't pan out. If he's going to the ND, he clearly doesn't want to play for you.

When the Swans made the Buddy offer the AFL didnt even tell Hawthorn or GWS the details becauase they said it was more than either club could afford.

If the Lions rejected Hartung and another spud for pick 23 they're not going to drop seven spots at the top of the draft for him.

GCS wont use their picks on him, unlikely Freo would, Essendon certainly wont, GWS wont, so that leaves Port?

Given the coach's job on the line would he take a punt? I doubt it.

What for you wasting multiple draft picks, trading your 1st and 2nd in your last B&F, getting rid of a club legend all because of one player who may or may not recover from his injuries. Go right ahead, I'd like to see both Queensland teams doing well and you'd just be accelerating that process.
