5 - 2+2= 5 - didn't even realise this was on the list when noms were released. Great track.

4 - Rabbit Hole - This is why I love the song contest. Songs like this that I hear and just love right awAy. I knew this would be featuring in my votes.

3 - parklife - just an enjoyable song and I'm a bit of a sucker for a British accent. Blur doesn't really do anything much for me but this one was pretty good.

2 - Ultraviolence - I feel like this is the type of song and artist I should detest but I just enjoyed it. Her voice, the brooding sort of style and the haunting resonance behind the lyrics all really spoke to me.

1 - Saint Huck - speaking of songs I should hate, seven minutes of out of tune half singing, half speaking and menacing sounding music. This should have been my Billy. But I couldn't help but feel drawn to it. Probably because I love dark brooding songs and artists such as soundgarden, etc.

Billy - couldn't care less who gets upset by this but again I'm giving it to possibly our most boring artist in Paul Kelly. Just didn't like the song.

Yeah, fair call with the two songs in isolation. They both use that shouting vocal delivery in a lot of their songs.

Also I forgot to mention to the host at the time that, as well as the lyrics being based on the John Donne poem, the song title is a line from Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut.
