You need TwitterCarrots. Potato. I'd chuck some broccoli in there.
Why?
Coz you're a campaigner.
Was concerned that the guy who killed those people in Melbourne might be a crows supporter when I heard he was from SA. Found his facebook page, turns out he is a collingwood supporter. I didn't want to have anything in common with that shit stain.
Aren't we meant to be concerned for him, he's obviously afflicted with a mental illness. It's hard to know when I'm expected to want people to be held accountable for their actions or when I get to point the figure at a failing society or under resourced mental health system. Modern life is so complicated.
we had Man Haron Monis a few years ago, the coach of our footy club being murdered by his own son in a drug induced psychosis and now this. What the **** does this post mean?
Are you using a moment of real tragedy to make some kind of pissant political point?
Pathetic.
I'd expect that of a shit bloke like Leyonhjelm, but thought better of normal people on this board.

What mental illness possibly excuses that behaviour?Aren't we meant to be concerned for him, he's obviously afflicted with a mental illness. Your crime is your crime.
I don't give a shit whether you're in a cell or a rubber room, you're off the street.
And if the negligence of any government policy leads to someone with a violent mental disorder being on the streets, then they deserve all of the wrath that gets focused on them.
People have the right to be healthy and safe.
this isn't about excusing people who have committed crimes, its about preventing them before they happen.
every time this happens the backstory comes out and there are about 100 red flags all over the place. Where's the safety net? Why aren't these people getting help? Instead the runaway train gathers momentum and the result is terrible for everyone.
absolutely, but Christ look at what happened to Walshy, his son had been diagnosed with mental issues and prescribed medication which he wasn't taking while living with his parents and they had no bloody idea about it because he's an adult? How many different ways could that have gone? You can't stop all the bad stuff, sometimes it does just happen.
As far as the 'build more jails' goes... Very simplistic and not very well thought out imo - do you think that would make everyone safer?

can you read? No one is making excuses, lock him up for life, you won't get an argument from me.And all those "back stories " are excuses.
Stuff it.
The simple fact that not everyone that has been in "dark places " goes out and commits heinous crimes shows clearly that the people that do are simply evil.
Undiagnosed or not - he knew exactly what he was doing.
Enough.

if its so clear that some people are simply evil though what's being done to try and identify them before they go out and kill people? Not enough you might suggest.
maybe its just ideological and impossible, but locking up the guilty after the fact isn't going to bring back any of the dead. When patterns are emerging perhaps its possible to break the cycle.
