Hypocrisy of The Left - part 2

Two things have worried me recently; the extreme left is ignoring nuance/context in order to label people negatively and the increased justification for violence. (black lives matter riots which eventuted in the killing of 5 police officers, the inauguration day and Berkeley riots)

I'll use the example of Muslims, aggressive and insulting behavior towards them conditions them to be radicalized easier. Now I'd say the same is true of conservatives. In the process of labeling them Nazi's and then causing violence towards them, will radicalize them and solidify racist and bigoted ideas. After all people are mostly influenced by their personally experiences.

Do you think the ultimate aim is violence for its own sake ?

This isn't really relating to any specific topic, but is anyone else just burnt out by the last 5 years of politics? Debating right wingers or left wingers, on any issue doesn't matter. Spending time to make careful distinctions in your arguments only for them to be ignored again taken out of context despite your efforts... I just now think we are way too focused on things that humanity should not be so concerned about for another 50 or 100 years. We have actual, real problems that need solving first before we talk about these issues like pronouns and safe spaces and milo whoeverthe****...sorry for rant

I agree - unfortunately its the confluence of politics, celebrity and the new media. MILO is a classic example - creates a career out of trolling and then gets invited to address CPAC - where are we?

Given the age bracket of kids who watch him, I'd say I will be checking more carefully than usual what my kids are watching on YouTube and check the parental controls are properly set.

Even if he is joking or mocking, it is pretty ordinary. He even admits he was being offensive. Even that is imprecise: offensive to whom?

Some of the things my 12 year old and his mates say to each other to get a rise are quite bad and I pull him up when I hear them, but also I know he doesn't actually believe any of it.
