As every week goes by, it should become that little clearer as to who stays and who may go;

Seniors: Gorringe, Armfield, Palmer (If he did come on board for just the one year) = 3
Rookies: Glass-McCasker & Gallucci = 2
Others that have little time to show form: Buckley, White (can see us rookie-ing him), Jaksch (now that Jones is doing so well) & Graham = 4
Retirees: Rowe = 1

Something like this may be as deep as we can go with the cuts.........even of we did go this deep. 10 players cut may yet be too much.

Do you think Sheehan survives?
I don't see how he gets another year.

Has had another run on the Cat B, which takes up three years on the list.

First time that a Cat B player has been allowed to run-up another Cat B contract, so I don't know how that works........although I'd still keep him.

Everyone (all of us anyway) can see how well SOS drafted this yr, why not back him & the staff in, to do it again....We don't need to trade Bryce if we can continually bring in talented young players. There is no need to trade out topline players if you can grab talent in every round- like we just did. If u struggle to recruit/draft talent then u need to sacrifice talent, we don't. We just proved you don't- the green shoots show u that we don't need to sell the farm to bring in talent. Have faith in the staff

Would you risk losing him as a FA when we have climbed the ladder and only get say a pick betweem 10 - 12, when he commands so much more value if we traded him at the end of the year if he wanted to go back to SA?

For 3 more years of this? damn right i would risk it.

Gorringe, Armfield, Jaksch definitely gone in my opinion.

More likely than not is white and Boekhorst.

Graham and sumner 50/50.

Of the rookies, Gallucci and JGM gone, and most likely korcheck.

Levi i think may stay on a 2 year contract.

I think i read somewhere palmer is contracted next year. I think smedts is too.

We offer GWS 2017 1st & 2018 1st

We get Kelly, Hopper & GWS 2018 2nd.

GWS dont have a first rounder this year and next year is a super draft so we will still get quality with GWS 2nd.

Keep Gibbs add Kelly & Hopper to Murphy, Cripps, SPS, Cuningham, Fisher & Kruezer and hello premiership.

Who's with me?

Buckley hasn't got a game, says a lot.
I think boek will be offered a deal. Plenty ahead of him on the chopping block.

Gorringe, Arnfield, Jacksh, Buckley

Sheehan, galluci, Korcheck

Why are we giving up 2 picks and receiving 3 players? Doesn't make sense to me and isn't a win/win.

If anything I think we would be adding a 2nd/3rd or a pick swap to get that deal done.

Cas is a tough one. I can see a club offering him 3 years and not on high enough $ to trigger band 3. I think we will be in a situation where we have to offer 3 years or we lose him for a pick around 40

Still dont have a forward line per see ........

But that's what trading for Kelly/Hopper is doing.

I would argue that going the draft route almost forces us to trade Gibbs. Building through the draft is slower and he'll be too old once we're making a serious run. Trading for Kelly, Hopper etc fast forwards the reset a bit and maybe we get 3 years of prime Gibbs in a top 4 side rather than just 1.

Thing to keep in mind about the trade targets is that they're all young. The only difference between trading a (very) high pick for Kelly and going to the draft is that we lose the first 3 years of his career but gain certainty about his ability.

If that's aimed at me I suggest you read it again

Was partly aimed at you and one other I can't name.

You said, if jones is the pawn that allows us to get Kelly and Hopper whilst keeping our 2017 or 18 1st then I'm all for it.

I'd be all for it too because it's highway robbery. If Gws expect 2x1st rounders for Kelly and a late 1st for Hopper then can you give me your scenario of how we get them by only giving up 1 1st round pick.

Also gotta remember that Liam Jones has had two good weeks in a row. Obviously it's great he's finding some real form, but would wanna wait for another 10 weeks before claiming that he holds massive trade value, especially considering six weeks ago we wouldve given him away to anyone who wanted him.
