You were a supporter,I was not.I feel that Trigg may have taken on one of the biggest jobs in football and that was to smooth the divide between executive and football departments.
We were all over the shop and confusion reigned. Great start point was to set-up an independent committee to appoint the new coach and once we did appoint Bolton, he became the driver of connecting all facets of the club. I don't know how Bolton has achieved so much so quickly and I've worried that he may be taking on more than he's capable of achieving, but things become so much easier when you don't have to sell your ideas over and over again.
We seem to finally have an all-for-one and on-for-all approach to just about everything we're doing.
This seemed nigh on impossible only 2 years ago and as much as we're all preaching the miracle of Jones, this is the bigger miracle for mine.
Seems lots of clubs are after Hopper now and we weren't even mentioned as one of them.

Stop rubbing it in you callous bastards,my threshold for submission is fairly low for wannabe tough guy. There was a lot of Crows' supporters putting out some very negative messages about Trigg immediately following our club appointing him as CEO. They were willing to blame Trigg for all the ills at the club (including the Tippett debacle) however none of them were really in a position to objectively assess how well Trigg had performed in his position as CEO at the Crows.
The AFL keeps a very close eye on senior appointments made at the AFL clubs & a club like ours whose performance would have been of great concern to the AFL would never have been allowed to appoint a CEO who the AFL did not think was an appropriate appointment given our situation.
Can confirm SOS was on the Gold Coast over the weekend and met with Adam Saad
Would be interesting to know which day.Can confirm SOS was on the Gold Coast over the weekend and met with Adam Saad
As cheap replacements for Simpson if he retired at the end of this year? Tell me who would you target, if we wanted to release Williamson to the midfield?
2017, WhitfieldSOS has the magic keys to the GWS kingdom. If we want someone bad enough, they will come.
2015 - Plowman and the rest
2016 - Marchbank and the rest
2017 - ???
People might point to us not getting Adam Treloar, but SOS wasn't going to sell the farm 2 years ago before our rebuild hadn't ever properly begun.
Good luck Arr0w, if he had a worthwhile opinion on the matter he would have shared it already.
The small defender role is a tough one to gauge because it's such an unflattering role for the most part. It's very uncommon to see a player like Simmo come along.
The ones I like are Neville Jetta and Kyle Cheney, very unassuming players who just get the job done - can't see either of them moving clubs this late in their careers though. Zac Williams, Nathan Wilson and Nick Haynes from GWS are also good candidates, but not sure how gettable they are. Darcy Byrne-Jones from Port is having a slightly down year but looked super impressive last season. They also have a young kid named Riley Bonner in his second year who I seem to remember was a smallish running half back. Pittard frustrates but it's hard to tell whether that's him in general or the gameplan encouraging him to take uneccessary risks.
Not a whole lot else on the market that stands out. Would be interested to see if ASOS could play Simmo's role for a year or two while we develop someone internally.
Won't be Kelly.
Stop getting so defensive over people disagreeing with players like Atkins, Wigg & Pittard. Wigg is yet to play a game so i dont know how you can say best 22? With Marchbank, Plowman, Doc, Byrne, Williamson, Jones, Weitering, ASOS all to fit into a backline i wouldnt be lining up to pay Pittard 500-700 which is being talked about. Atkins is a giant downhill skier, go look at the Adelaide board to see their opinions of him, not great.. Even if Simmo doesn't go on next year (I think he will), I think we are pretty well covered and may just be able to draft one and wait for them to come through. No point spending picks on plebs like Savage and having to upgrade them in 2 years. We have more serious holes to fill in the team firstAs cheap replacements for Simpson if he retired at the end of this year? You got it right,I got it wrong, you don't have to rub it in mate![]()
Just my personal opinion. Bank picks for the draft.
LoGiudiceNot rubbing it in as chances are we were on the same page a couple of years back.
Just have to give it to those that stood their ground and made the change, as it's easier just to go with the flow and secure yourself a cushy job.

My opinion is that barring unforseen circumstances the question isn't whether Simmo plays on in 2018. The question is more whether he plays in 2019 or even 2020.I agree, I think Simpson will go on for another year. I always like to nurture from within when it comes to flankers like Simpson. Generally, it seems to be filled by midfielders taken late in the draft, that just don't seem to cut it in the middle.
Won't be Kelly.
Bank picks for the draft in a shit draft yearz vs a top 10 midfielder in the league right now who is only 22... hmmn i wonder who i'd preferJust my personal opinion. Bank picks for the draft.
Personal opinion. People should clarify these things in the rumour threadYou heard something MC?
