Yeah I was originally thinking there was no way he'd get in as a midfielder but add in the 34 goals he kicked he's a chance to sneak in

Bont,Treloar, Lever and Selwood are very debatable IMO.

Selwood I can wear. Lever had been good for a young player - but AA might be over-reaching.

But Treloar has been less effective than he was last year in almost all areas.

I don't want to sound bias but I thought Squizzy had a better year than bont.

Almost qual for meters gained even if a few less disp per game and 3 goals different for the year. Lewy has also got a 7% better DE%

Lewy would be a lot better in a better team to boot, a luxury the Bont has.

Zorks should make the AA team. It would be ridiculous for *everyone* in the AFL media to be saying he's such an underrated gun and "if he played in a victorian team he'd be a household name" to only just make the squad.

It's all part of the "we are back on track" narrative. He will make it, then we will be denied a pp and given a draw where we play each finalist twice next year...at twilight on Sunday.

The AA selector have a history of dubious decisions, ala Jonathan Brown missing on the AA Captaincy for Andrew McLeoud in 2007.

If I remember correctly, the current coach of Melbourne was almost a perennial fixture in the AA side even when others had far better credentials,

I though his selection in 2009 on the HBF was a joke, considering St Kilda had the best defence that year, yet no starters in the backline.
