IMO, 'It' is a great book because of its bang-on portrayal of childhood as well as the loss of childhood, the horror elements are really just a clothesline.

I like his horror books, but they've generally been cut to shreds to fit in a neat 90-120 minute movie. It's why it's good IT is only the first half the story and why the original IT and The Stand as his books did well, as they were mini-series so you had time for character development, not just scare the audience. Shawshank and Stand by Me as based on short stories didn't suffer the editing leaving half the story out fate.

Lol, so more for the Gardens, some educational buildings so somethinf is actually occupied, plus adding to the empty office glut in the city. I will be shocked if it gets a hotel or apartments.

Worse than Le Cornu's, in that this is the most prime real estate in the city that'll come up, with working from a largely clean slate, for the next few decades and the government can't prevent ****ing up, what should be a line of developers wanting in on such a location. Never change ALP, never change SA.

Someone on the YouTube comments suggest it was a 'furries' rave but it certainly has a churchy vibe about it. You do see some suspect chewing faces later in the video so they're not all little angels.

There's one bit where the music is pumping and the crowd are getting into it and the MC guy decides to cut the music to make a statement about the dangers of glow sticks. Bad Timing Dude should be a meme.

Yeah, it was actually a good novel until the final third.
But the final third was that bad, it undid all of the rest of the novel for me...

SC was a good collection of short stories.
My younger brother had one of those clapping monkey things that was on the cover which added a dimension to that story for me.
