Gibbs will go tomorrow, no doubt about it. There's some back-and-forth about swapping of other future picks, but it'll get done and we'll win the trade.

Kennedy is already done. Very much expect to see another player come with him (his name hasn't really been linked to us in the media or on here). 2nd player centres around which other picks we can get from other trades so as to not over-pay.

Apparently the misunderstanding was due to the AFL not allowing Reid to sign the contract in crayon.

Deal will be official tomorrow pending reid passes his pen licence test over night.

No, SOS supposedly wanted their future 2nd as well to even it out a bit.

Reid thought the same as you apparently.

That's what I'm saying. Effectively it would be 10 + 2018 1st (15-18) + 2018 2nd (32-36) for Gibbs + 2018 2nd (19-25)

Yeah it is. SOS is taking up Lobbe's contract and an early pick in exchange for a very late pick. That's the salary dump and ruck insurance he has planned for 2018 and beyond.

Kennedy will be next years second (or Adelaides). If the Gibbs deal gets done we could go to the draft with 3, 10, 34, 40 on top of Kennedy Lang Lobbe plus we have an extra first round pick next year. Not bad

Personally I wouldn't stand for it. This is meant to be an equalisation system, not a collegiate draft.
