Cal Twomey's actual phantom comes out tonight, will be the best indication yet of who we'll be picking, usually gets it spot on for the most part.

For what it’s worth, our recruiting team will have now have sorted out the list of possibles for our pick #2 and #5 and it will have included the profilers input and the talent spotters input.

They will just work through the list... depending on who is taken before us. All the hard work has been done.

The magic will actually be done at our later picks and will be more needs basis.

Would love Fog but I reckon we'll get the two Haileybury boys LDU and Brayshaw, can't remember who it was but I watched a video the other day and apparently our recruiters have been to just about every Haileybury game this year.

I don't know why Brissy wouldn't be all over UDL, especially after losing Rockliff. Seems such a safer selection for them than Rayner. Brayshaw at 4 opens the door for Dow at 5? That would be very interesting

Not sure if that's true tbh, depends how keen North are on Brayshaw. So far the only thing I've read about North being keen on Dow is random North posters on bigfooty, who have been notoriously inaccurate about drafts and trading

I haven't given up hope on either of Fog or Stevo. We tend to surprise a little so I am somewhat expecting pick 5 to be a little left field at least.

I was on the Rayne train to start with, but that LDU transcript above, and the live interview on SEN a few weeks back, has me getting very excited. Laid back surfer who models Fyfe and plays strongly on the inside.

I’d still seriously consider taking the punt on Fog at 5, especially if we have LDU in the bank as a safe option after pick 2. But Brayshaw if available would be completely fine as well.

Of course if Dow somehow slipped through then we’d surely take that?

I didn't think Fremantle gave assurances like that to a player, but if it helps calm your position then it hold value.

pick 2 has to be either Rayner or LDU, depending on who the Lions take.
if they take Brayshaw it is a dream come true & we pick LDU, hoping Rayner slides (Blues & North both desperate for pure mids)
with pick 5 we get to find a great compliment to pick 2, whether that be one of the rising Bonar (pardon the pun) or Murphy, or a pure mid, should we get Rayner at 2.

I can confirm 100% that Freo don't tell draftees.

Really think that come Friday we'll be welcoming LDU and Cerra to the club, and I'd be quite happy with that.
