Got 37yrs worth of paybacks.lolI like your style , spoken like a true tiger
I like our approach to the draft.
Pick 17: A slider no matter what position they play
Pick 20: A need (ruckman)
Pick 25: A need (a tall)
Pick 53 (34): F/S (outside midfielder)
Pick 55 (63): A need (a tall)
In fact, I like our approach to the entire trade/draft period. I am happy that this club has become a cool-headed club that know and address what they need. I expected them to have a two-phase replenishment of our list through the draft by taking the smalls/midfielders last year and talls/midfielders this year, and I am happy that they did that even though they won the 2017 Premiership. They did not let the Premiership blind them from what they need to pick up through the draft.
The only thing left for us to take in the draft down the track is a tall midfielder, which is something that we haven't picked up yet. It isn't a pressing need though since we have the likes of Townsend, Martin and Grigg on the list.

Conca is rubbish he’s a depth player. I’d be happy to say I’m wrong next year but I’d choose 10 blokes ahead of him. With five new faces and rookies still to come, here’s how I think we might line up in 2018:
BEST 22:
B: Grimes Astbury Vlastuin
HB: Houli Rance BEllis
C: Lambert Cotchin CEllis
HF: Edwards Caddy Rioli
F: Bolton Riewoldt Townsend
R: Nankervis Martin Prestia
IC: Grigg, Graham, Conca, Higgins
VFL:
B: Garthwaite Broad Short
HB: Markov Balta McIntosh
C: Menadue Miles Naish
HF: Castagna Griffiths Butler
F: Miller Moore Stengle
R: Hampson Drummond Lloyd
IC: Chol, Soldo, Coleman-Jones, Rookies
Broad, Castagna, Butler and McIntosh are the casualties that I think will get passed by C Ellis, Conca, Higgins and Bolton. Man, how’s that for depth?
Depending on our opposition and how Nank is holding up is expect us to rotate our tall stocks and bring in Hampson, Griff and Moore when needed. Balta could be the surprise here given he’s already at 195cm/92kgs and then throw in a solid preseason.
The big mover of the year will be Drummond cementing himself as an in and out midfielder once he finally gets a decent crack at it without injury.
By end of the year I think we’ll throw Butler up as trade bait given our surplus stocks. Rioli, Bolton and Higgins have more upside. And Castagna if he can work on his skills has more versatility. Hampson will retire and Chol moved on. The rest? Well, it’s guess work from here. Can’t wait to see what 2018 has in store.

Disagree, some of the forwards will play more midfield including Bultler & Rioli opening up spots for others.Won’t be playing firsts by years end. Guys like Bolton and Higgins have way more upside and will go past him. He’d still have currency though for teams without 6 forward short people like us. That’s why i’d look to trade him. Castagna just got two years so he’s less likely to exit.

lol I went there as rookie with a one night stand I scored at the Tunnel .Wouldn't mind Gordon Narrier as a rookie.

Got no idea...eff off!Conca is rubbish he’s a depth player. I’d be happy to say I’m wrong next year but I’d choose 10 blokes ahead of him.
You’ve thrown out 4 players that were unbelievable in defensive pressure. CEllis is gonna have to grow a pair before he cements a spot in our 22 and I hope he’s given the opportunity while Broad is suspended. (I’m not saying the are the same player).
Castagna’s disposal is very ordinarily but he had the best “1” percent stats out of all of the boys.
Butler will have to have shocking pre season to not be in the 22.
Our depth is one of, if not the best in the comp in mids/forwards/hbs and after this draft we could well and truly add KPP to the list.
I see we are on the same page.Conca is rubbish he’s a depth player. I’d be happy to say I’m wrong next year but I’d choose 10 blokes ahead of him.

What don’t I have any idea about? Elaborate before being a prick. It’s a forum where we choose to agree and disagree and have our own opinions which I respect. However, yours is “got no idea...eff off!” Immature and pathetic responseGot no idea...eff off!
From memory Butler finished top 10 in the BnF in a premiership year. He isn't departing any time soonWon’t be playing firsts by years end. Personally I believe we have a better options that Castagna, I was making a point that he won’t be that easy to drop because he was achieving pressure “stats” without having the ball in hand. The boys in Bolton, Higgins, Stengle are gonna have to make sure their pre season will be better than George’s. It’s a very good problem to have.I see we are on the same page.
This board every day for the next 4 months is going to have threads with people making ridiculous changes to our best 22 because ...
......thats where I'm at a loss. I guess because we've been shite for so many years and off-season 4-5 changes or more had to happen or we would have to deal with the same shite again the next year.
Shake my head at suggestions /Grigg/ McIntosh/even Houli FFS might get dropped.
1 change for Broad. Any other changes are speculative on somebody getting injured. I do disagree with you on Castagna, but even then others need to really show they are ahead and wont be easy by r1.
The extra tall coming in... Griffiths...again not in the early rounds. Won a premiership... other coaches will be all over the plan... F#@& em...lets roll again r1 and see what they do.
GF 22 -1 plays r1. See everyone in March once preseason games start for best 22 discussion.... pointless before then.
Great way to ruin the connection our Club has - trading Premiership players is an absolute no-no!With five new faces and rookies still to come, here’s how I think we might line up in 2018:

Its good to be King boys
Ahahaapparently the reason balta is dropping is his attitude is shit and he isn't passionate about football
Look up swingman in the dictionary and you see a picture of Ben Miller,Miller will be a KPP that pinch hits in the ruck But not a full time ruck.
regardless of his leap, rucks that undersized aren't first choice.
Unless the game really does move away from big men and mobility is the core part of rucking, then he might be, but he's never going to compete against the Jacobs of the world. His athleticism is more suited to KPF or KPF. Same with Balta.
AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DONT ANYONE MENTION THIS "SWINGMAN" BULLSHIT!
Balta not only has elite traits but is an elite fit for our game plan. Play the kid at FF or CHF and watch him mow campaigners down.
