You haven't been here long enough and seen what has happened to people posting daily mail links . The sad thing is those other sources you stated are seen as acceptable even though I agree with you. They're going to need to do something otherwise there will be vigilantes in action plus don't think the police will be too happy if shit like the boxing day incident isn't dealt with.

Councils and politicians are using Aboriginals as political pawns in this debate. Of course some support the victim mentality (might be profit to be had). But many have realised this only causes division and solves nothing.

As to my original comment, yes some demonstrated back in the 30's but since then it has not been an issue for the population until a year or 2 ago when all the BLM activists and anti confederation crap started in the USA.

Up until a year or 2 ago, Australia day was inclusive of everyone. Councils and a couple of SJW's have now tried to turn it into a racist holiday.

I listened to a debate on the radio about Australia day being moved and Aboriginals started calling in. I thought, here we go but to my surprise, every aboriginal caller thought it was a terrible idea to move our traditional holiday. They said all it does is make the population hate them more and that they were not the ones to ask for the change anyway. That it only causes more separation of the races and doesn't make anyone happy except the white knights who stand proudly behind it.

All I see is people on the left refusing to tar all Muslims with the same brush based on the actions of a small, radical minority because when you do that all you do is make the situation worse, you radicalise moderates.

After a few decades of interventions from the right there are more radical Islamic terrorists than ever before, because of failed policies, failed military interventions, the drumming up of fear...

It isn't about not wanting to do anything or not understanding the threat, it is about putting it in a realistic perspective and doing things that will actually have a chance of a positive outcome.
