Been blasting Ghost Brigade a lot recently. Fantasic band.
I thought they mentioned hiatus? Probably as good as gone I think, been a while since they split hasn't it? Glad I got to see them live.

Wow.. Corrosion of Conformity. Blast from the past.
Reminds me of my 1st ever live metal gig - them and Segression (lol) Supporting Pantera at the Perth Entertainment Centre in 2001.
A quick google of the concert back in '01 returned this of all things, hahaha.

My memory is a bit hazy but i'm pretty sure the same exact story also happened in Perth. There are some really ordinary posts in that thread haha! A mate of mine was at the Adelaide leg of that Pantera tour and he told me that during CoC's set the crowd was being unruly and chanting for Pantera, so Phil came out and told everyone to shut up and show some respect. Wish I was there, just a little bit before I started going to gigs.
I was at the Melbourne gig, at Festival Hall. Walked in during CoC's set, but didn't notice ant issues. Phil was drunk af during Pantera's set, though.
Was that the gig he got the massive joint out and smoked it onstage?
Not a fan of Inquisition vox??Great riffs but as usual I wish I could mute the vocals.
Might have been. There was something big, either a joint or an over sized bottle. He was acting like a total arseh*le though. Caught Down a few years later, and Phil's onstage persona was the complete opposite, couldn't have been any nicer.

Yep. My friend who was and is a massive Pantera fan went to meet them at the airport as 17 year old or so. He tried to approach Phil for a photograph and his response was to barge past him and say "don't even F***ING LOOK at me man!" He then got a tap on the shoulder and turned around to see Dimebag who was more than happy to engage in conversation.
By all accounts was pretty cool a few years later but still doesn't excuse the fact he was a massive ****** at that time.

Oh damn! To each his own.![]()
