I did not say "there had been no comment from the league", I said that there had been no comment from the league ON SLOANE.

I did not "dismiss Keane's comments as not being from the league", I ackowledged Keane's position and pointed out that he had not referred to Sloane in particular.

You, on the other hand, claimed that Keane was referring to Sloane, and therefore the league's official position was that Sloane was UFA. Which was clearly wrong, because Sloane has since been confirmed by the league as RFA. Based on the rules that applied then, and apply now because the rule changes will not come into effect until 2019.

I invite you to find and quote posts from that "whole exchange" that rebut the above.

On a more serious note, this is the first time he has come out of contract after 8 years of service. Therefore, if he was in our top 25% of salaries, then he would be restricted. At least we know he is not getting paid as one of our top 10 players (this year at least).
