I did not "dismiss Keane's comments as not being from the league", I ackowledged Keane's position and pointed out that he had not referred to Sloane in particular.

You, on the other hand, claimed that Keane was referring to Sloane, and therefore the league's official position was that Sloane was UFA. Which was clearly wrong, because Sloane has since been confirmed by the league as RFA. Based on the rules that applied then, and apply now because the rule changes will not come into effect until 2019.

I invite you to find and quote posts from that "whole exchange" that rebut the above.

Sorry, but your nonsensical argument about no specific comment regarding alone has been dismissed many times. It is asinine.

You claimed to be able to interpret bad data with certainty that also did not mention Sloane by name

The mere concept that rules and statements must mention players by name defies belief.

You are called out on this a couple of weeks ago, and were nowhere to be seen. Which was odd as you were all over the thread until only a few minutes previously

Too much of a coincidence this disappearing act, and then pretending to know nothing about it later.

The new CBA now contains a number of things that were not in the old draft, and exactly as I tried to explain to you at the time, you were not reading from the current rules

But hey, I’m sure that you only disappear when contradicted is pure luck.

You were right to say that Patrick Keane had officially stated on behalf of the AFL that Sloane was a UFA. I would try to find out what was the rule change that led to his recent retraction, and statement that Sloane is RFA, but I'm so tired and humiliated I won't bother.

You were right to say that I had denied, repeatedly, that Patrick Keane was the league's official spokesperson, and I ackowledge that the only reason that you cannot actually quote any posts of mine to support this is because there are so many such posts that quoting them all would overwhelm your mother's data allowance.

You were right to say that in referring to the CBA as published on the AFLPA website, I was using "bad data". It must have been, and if I can summon the energy I will take this up with the AFLPA.

You were right to say that I did not understand that the FA rules might change after the publication of the CBA. The only evidence that I acknowledged this lies in posts that I have since edited to conceal the truth, and I admit that I connived with the mods to conceal the evidence of those edits.

Most of all, you were right that I repeatedly ran away when challenged. Again, I have edited my posts to make it appear that I was responding to you and rebutting your arguments.

Where I did not reply to a post of yours - well, I thought at the time that I was doing it because I had a life, and that even a cat lover can become bored with playing with a dangling ball of wool in front of a kitten; but you have made it clear that to fail to respond to every one of your posts, no matter how many there are, how repetitive they are, and no matter the cost to my sanity, is in fact to admit defeat and show myself up as a coward.

Finally, I want to apologise to my fellow Bigfooty posters for my misguided attempt to analyse the available information and contribute to a discussion on a topic of great interest. I realise now that one should only do this after the event, when there is no possibility that one might be wrong, to avoid the heartache and confusion that ensues from putting forward a logical, evidence-based hypothesis as a basis for discussion.

I'll run away now. Again. I am defeated and humiliated.

Of that list, 11 players including Adelaide star Rory Sloane are restricted free agents, which means their clubs can match a bid.

Possible changes to free agency regulations were pushed back a year, changes that would have seen him an unrestricted free agent at the end of 2018.
