If the Swans are playing a 45 year old ex AFLplayer ...they are clearly that bad and worse. All I will say is Wow.
What happen to Seymour today. 70 odd to 3 behinds and a Swan Killing by 20 goals. I know Swans were bad but not that bad.
I thought Euroa would beaten united by more.
Interesting week next week
Did you get to Deakin Reserve mate? Rochy appeared to be in it until 3 quarter time. (Based upon score updates from the website)

Mate I wouldn’t be leaving Rhys one out deep forward. Good on the lead and a very strong grab. Could be the leading goal kicker in the GV if he doesn’t have VFL duties
Ringo I know PS filled you in...but...Lion..mate..they were a rabble...no structure, no direction and a coach that could charm the pants off a movie star but not much not else.A long season ahead....
Jeez that's early Ultra!! Obviously Benalla a lot stronger than we all suspected.Hearing some not real happy with the coach..

Whatever the rumblings, we need to remember that coaches are appointed by clubs based on what should be an agreed direction for the future and they should then be supported by the club unless they do something completely contrary to what has been settled upon or appropriately discussed. Every year many advertised coaching positions remain unfilled until the last minute, why is that? Every league can only have one Premier, does that make the other coaches automatically dispensable? Many a pundit has declared that matches cannot take place without umpires, I'd suggest that matches need teams and that teams do not happen without someone undertaking the role of coach.Yeah PS said they were right off the mark. Worries me that word is that the players aren’t happy with the coach. It’s only round 1 so I think everyone just needs to take a deep breath. Will know more about the Lions when they play Echuca next week.

The football world would be a much better place if coaches were supported instead of being destroyed
Ringo..I think there's coaches and there's coaches... Sometimes committees don't get it right. Do I get an elephant stamp for my grammar.
Sadly , I think it is likely going to take someone to pursue serious legal action to reassure all that carrying a role " title " within football , doesn't provide extra-ordinary powers to treat people poorly and/or unlawfully solely for their own ego .The football world would be a much better place if coaches were supported instead of being destroyed
And not “there’s coaches”. ... “there’re coaches”Sadly no, the final sentence is a question. It's lacking the "?" at the end.

The instigator will no doubt be condemned initially, but it will be for the betterment of the game.
And often those pushing for the change either curl up in a ball or move on themselves ..... rarely do these types put their necks or balls on the line.I believe that this has happened. Unless clubs support and put into place a number of initiatives such as mentoring, professional development, open lines of communication and not contributing to a 'Mob" mentality then we will fail to have quality coaches put their hand up. If I was to ever coach again I'd be asking a lot more questions of the club and the support that they were going to put into place. Coaches need to be supported and shielded from 'social ladder climbers' who attempt to bring down coaches to feather their own egos. Whenever a coach is sacked it very rarely improves the results or culture of a club. In fact many go backwards for a number of years.
