Tough couple of days at the Den boys. Firstly im shafted on Thursday night resulting in me resigning my position as ressies coach. Then sensationally, senior coach Nick Jewell has been sacked tonight by a bunch of piss weak politicians !!!....happy to name names if anyone wants to know
So what lion, two wins from two games in the ressies wasn't considered good enough by the hierarchy?

Not a high enough percentage perhaps?

Exactly roota, uve appointed a bloke to do a job, let him do it. Its like telling ur kid "Here, drive the family car ..........but im sitting in the back seat !!!!

Lion 71 let me say from the outset I've been in the position more than once as to whether or not to sack a coach mid steam....On each occassion the coach has been backed by the club and finished the season with full support so as not to let the tail wag the dog. From your response to my posts last week I understand your allegiance to the coach and admire that. Is there anyone from the Den willing to give some reasons. I don't retract anything I said but as someone mentioned earlier, "was the fit right " ?.

The fit was right.......if players and club personal were prepared to except it......clearly the "weak" majority " ruled

If Jobby can’t then How u going for time Ringo? Been saying for few years u gotta do it at some point ;)
Guarantee he was pushed, not jumped. Im being pretty straight forward about this, imvery pissed off and know exactly what transpired and no one is getting off the hook !!!!

On a side note there was a game of footy tonight played at Kyabram.
Euroa served it up to them by the looks? Any reports?
Yep it was a good standard game of footy and could also be a grand final preview I believe. Players were very hard at it throwing themselves at the contest with a lot of spot fires and 50 metre penalties throughout the game. Was a very over umpired game I thought. Euroa can take a lot away from the game knowing they can push Ky and if they can get a few games out of their vfl guys it could make things very interesting. Ky’s class shone through in the end though, getting them over the line. Jeez that bloke Smith can play a bit can’t he...

It is fact that seymour coach resigned today
Ur ill informed mate sorry to say. ......can say that with %100 confidence and anyone who says or hears different are just as ill informed

Lion71 name names pal, and while at it ....

(1.) How after two rounds could the appointment have been so wrong
(2.) WTF has happened up there
(3.) Who steps in now?
Was a good appointment in my view, the hidden powers that be simply couldn't let go of the apron strings. 2 names......Simon McClean , nicknamed snake and rightly bloody so !!!, and a club legend who i respected immensely until Thursday night, Matt O'Sullivan. Im not gunna sugar coat this crap anymore, Seymour footy club is a place best kept away from, its this sorta crap as to why i left 4 years ago and its still happening

Lion 71 you will be no loss to the Seymour football Club. You only ever seemed to be interested in contributing unnecessary info to this forum. You have been around the club for 2 minutes and carry on as if you know everything. I have spoken to several senior players about what has happened tonight with Nick leaving & I will talk to him in the next few days after things settle down. The committee seem to have reacted hastily to a few impatient voices. Either way. Seems like Nick has gone & Seymour have a big problem on their hands.

And who the bloody hell are u pal ? U clearly weren't around in my 1st stint at Seymour. ....the one that went from '06 to '13 !!!....bit longer than 2 minutes. Not to mention the countless hours ive put in behind the scenes !!!.....think u need to rethink ur assessment mate !!, dont think u know me at all or u wouldn't be spitting out such crap !!!!

Heard from few euroa boys umpiring very dodgey wasn't there personally but can someone give run down

I certainly hope the Euroa boys weren't complaining. Official free kick count was 44 to 23 in euroas favour. Worst display of umpiring I have ever witnessed in a gvfl game. The game was completely over umpired and never allowed to reach any great heights.
Euroa will figure prominently at the end of the year. Ky played in patches and looked a little flat at times. Mueller was the difference and is a jet. The season is well and truely alive.
My mail is don't be surprised to see the number 6 back in the 2:00pm time slot soon. I'm still happy to back him in as one of the best forwards in the comp.

From a very reliable source both coaches resigned so what’s this about them getting the sack?

What’s done is done now men, however it went down Nick and Paddy will be replaced, the sun will come up and footy clubs continue to function.

Every action we take in life, decisions we make will have a consequence not always positive but I guess if some learnings come from it the wheel will continue to turn.

Good luck to both outgoing coaches, and the Seymour FNC going fwd

I don't want to get involved in an argument on here. However Simon McClean and Matt O'Sullivan are really good people. Lucky to play football with Simon and his nickname back then was 'snake'. Matt has always been a Seymour Football Club person with the best interests of the club at heart. As I am a Seymour boy I am well aware of the great club it has been and its culture. Coaches in my mind should only be moved on if they are damaging the brand of the club publicly otherwise they need to be supported fully on their journey. It sounds like in this instance that there has been a few issues around what happened yesterday. Some Echuca people were disappointed with what happened yesterday.

Well, What can I say about yesterday at Tat Park......The 3rd was a good match.

I knew the Swans were bad but not that bad. Our Ressies won by 130 points. Swans kick a goal(It was a dodgy 50m penalty by the way) and that is the only goal they kicked in the Reserves and the Seniors

First Half of the Seniors was Frustrating as the ball was a cake of soap but by half time the bulldogs were up by 50 points.

Second Half of the Seniors. The Sun came out and Tat kicked it up and extra gear.

Lincoln Wellington played well as did the Ryan brothers and Civarella.

Looking forward to Deakin Reserve on Saturday agianst the Bears

Noticed the swans took to the field with 38 points out of a maximum of 44 everyone else as 40, so they could possibly add one or two good players to a team that couldn't kick a goal yesterday yet Ky play at around 25 and have won over 40 odd games in a row gotta feel for the bottom teams in all comps these days just gunna be banging there heads against the wall for a few years I think.
