I imagibe the HC role of the sydney swans would be one of the most coveted in the game...we could literally have anyone we wanted and wer stick with this mental midget

If you havent seen the tweaks you dont really go to games and just rely on what the cameras on tv show you. Its a limited way to watch aussie rules IMHO.
I genuinely believe that some on here have better ideas than the guy taking a million dollars off of us a year
Nope...he is hopeless. Mark neeld could get this group to a prelimThats a rubbish claim.

So what has or does horse do right? What is some of his gemsI dont, i think we would be smashed by 10 goals plus every weekend with the malarky i have read. Feels like i listening to the "experts on TV" who have as much of a clue as your regular joe watching footy from his lounge chair.

You honestly dont know what you are talking about.
I don’t get the play Aliir rubbish of the past few weeks. It’s not that he’s not good enough, that he certainly is. However, the whole idea of playing him in the NEAFL is purely to get him match fit. He’s had that game time to improve his fitness and it’s now time to pull the trigger as it is the right time!Well you make do with what you have..ok no tall depth with experience...so what can you do ?
A) nothing...play a bunch of short people and get exposed by height last night with brown and mason "carey" wood
B) play aliir back who has played well there in the past, play grundy up forward. Its not ideal but it would at least provide some sort of structure and force the north talls to at least be accountable.
No sane person with any idea what theyre doing would pick option a? Oh yea our coach would
I know that he is trying to turn genuine forwards with forward footy smarts into mids ( papley and hayward)You honestly dont know what you are talking about.
Havnt you heard? Horse thinks aliir is going to be the next tony lockettI don’t get the play Aliir rubbish of the past few weeks. It’s not that he’s not good enough, that he certainly is. I’ve heard the song...’there’s only one Tony Lockett’!Havnt you heard? Horse thinks aliir is going to be the next tony lockett
Your right, Longmire is perfect, his plans, his strategies, everything is perfect.
His win loss ratio speaks for itself.
He has just been at the right place at the right time with our list. Buddy, kennedy, goodes, parker, hanners, jack, grundy, rampe, richards etc....a sign if a good coach is not what he does when its all working but what he does when the chips are down and last night was a massive failureHis win loss ratio speaks for itself.

I know that he likes to bomb the ball long and high despite that not being buddy's greatest strengths
I know plays too defensively
I know he plays a loose man in defence (reid) when we are winning games
I know last week against the cats he let them play a loose man in our defence and we couldnt score for half a game
Spoon fed by media? For one reason or another, horse has escaped a lot of criticism over the years, if anything he is protected by the media.Thats correct, i too would make the same assessmenst when the commentators spoon feed it to me on tv.

Skill errors happen to every team, its the structure failures that he can prevent.. such as ben brown taking chest mark after chest mark down back. Because A horse had no counter and b refused to direct the players to stop bombing the F@$@ ball inside 50Because the disgraceful skills and easy miss at shots were his fault. Should Horse go out like he is coaching an auskick side with a megaphone and run telling the players how to kick the ball?

So your telling is we are all wrong for the things we criticise him for, how about you telling us what he does well?
So what does he actually do right, what has he evolved since 12' ?He escapes media criticism because there is no real reason for it. He took a side that was 0-6 last year to finals. No self respecting observer of the game will criticise him. He does get put under the microscope now and then but then the team comes out firing the next game and we win.
Again, his record speaks for itself.
and if the goal in the AFL was to have a positive win/loss ratio I would agree with you.
