Yep, apologies, a miscalculation on my behalf, but there's no "convenient" aspect to it. I just didn't do the subtraction.

This basically leaves North with 1246 points to take to the draft. If a club bids on Thomas with pick 8, we effectively blow our 2019 1st round pick. It won't happen.

Since a move would be about money (whilst getting to Melbourne for his other half), he’d be better off going to Carlton if they were in the ball park. All those games on the wide open spaces of the MCG, rather then the concrete of Etihad would suit him perfectly. Not to mention be much less likely to cause issues with his foot. If (and I’d rather keep him), if Carlton get a priority pick after their first, that’d be awfully tasty compensation).

I don’t expect it to happen for numerous reasons, but the apocalyptic mouth frothing if we somehow turned Polec + our first into 2 and grabbed Lukosius would see Adelaide’s, Seven Adelaide and the Advertisers ranks all thin markedly as they give themselves a stroke from the raving.

According to Stephen Trigg, Carlton have roughly $3 million in the cap to use by this year.

No way north would not let him go. Finally a player wanting to go there. They’ll do everything to get him there because if they don’t it will encourage other players not to go there coz north don’t get deals done. In the end north will pay overs.

Well, that can't happen mate as we have to take 3 players (Gaff maybe as an FA) and Hall is in play and would cost us something minor.

We are also very bullish about Bailey Scott nominating us, so he'll likely cost a 2nd round pick, which I'd personally not be too worried about if it cost us the 2019 2nd round pick.

So, to answer your question, if we could snag Polec, Hall, Thomas & Scott and only forfeit the 2019 2nd round pick, then I wouldn't be too fussed about that.

Well you can't offer a massive contract to a player and then not expect to cough up to get him.

Polec isn't a player wanting out, he had been targeted by your mob so ide expect you will need to pay up to follow through with the actions so far.

Top 10 pick + steak knives is the cheapest you will pay for him and if he's keen to come, ide say it will happen swiftly.

There is a difference between rumours about coming to north and resigning, and a player nominating north and north deciding trades to hard and giving up (as you suggested). First one the player just decided to stay at his club, second the player has decided to leave his club and come to north and north couldn’t get the deal done. Would make them look bad and won’t happen, in fact doesn’t happen.
