Its always a bit bizarre when a forward captains the team. Its usually the midfielders and backmen yelling the instructions throughout a game when setting up around the ball.

As for Edwards, meh. Its not as bad as the year Geelong had about 9 selections in the same year. Macrae and Coniglio probably better. Reckon yeo should have got Gaffs spot too tbh.

Maybe if you get to 6 or 8 AA, with a couple consecutive, and you haven't been made C or VC previously, then it's your turn?

Who knows. JJ Kennedy was VC in 2015 and 2017, Harley was VC in 2008, Murphy C in 2015, it is what it is.

Regardless of captain cred, 8 AAs at CHF or FF is a fair achievement. Would he be captain if this team took the field? Hell no.
