interesting. how do you know this?

Players used 20 Bulldogs have attended a centre bounce in 2018.

Ruckmen
2018 ruck attendances (top two): Tom Boyd (201), Tim English (120)
Centre square hit-outs per game (minimum five games): Tim English (5.9)
Centre square hit-outs to advantage differential (team): -3.6 (18th)

Onballers
Most common ruck-rover combination: Tom Boyd-Toby McLean (10)
Most used midfielder (midfielder who attends most centre bounces): Jack Macrae (317)
Centre clearances won (team differential): -0.3 (10th)
Centre clearance king (minimum five games): Marcus Bontempelli (1.9)

ANALYSIS: The future looks bright for the Dogs with their centre-square set-up, with young guns Jack Macrae, Marcus Bontempelli, Toby McLean and Tim English all proficient in the vitally important phase of the game. The quartet are all in the positive when it comes to clearances and getting the ball inside 50 from a centre bounce. Versatile big man Jackson Trengove is impressive too, with an equal club-best 11.1 at clearances. Free agents Mitch Wallis and Jordan Roughead, on the other hand, aren't nearly as effective, with the Dogs negative 11.1 in clearances when Wallis is in attendance. At -3.7, Roughead is the club's worst-performed ruckman.Ryan Davidson

Awesome, let's raid them
TBH I'd rather raid Richmond for a couple of cheap depth players than go big for an A grader if we can shake one free from somewhere, our age profile won't be hurt by adding some mature talent.
If we brought in three mature players (as per last year) I'd be satisfied. I'm not sure there is anything at the Saints I'd want, they either have workman-like mids (which I don't think is a need for us, especially if we pick up Hayes from the VFL for depth) or two 'stars' who are heart and soul players there anyway.

This is a good article - much of the Wallis angst from what I'm hearing is about his role rather than salary. He loves the Bulldogs but we want him to play forward more (which he excelled at) and he want's to play midfield which, frankly, I'm not sure he's even in our second rotation given Williams looks good in there and Dunkley's last month or so was excellent.

So I haven't heard much about the Gold Coast concessions that are being floated, but is it essentially that they will get access to State league players first, or will they also have "bonus" list spots available to those draftees with payments outside the cap. Ultimately that seems like a smart way for the AFL to help clubs rather than priority picks. Give them a couple of extra spots on the list they can fill with state league players who's wages are outside the cap. It is pretty obvious there is a lot of players in the state leagues who are able to take the step up to AFL, so you'd think it would help struggling clubs and be good for state league players as well.

Billings, Acres or Coffield I'd all like.

Dont believe much of what Brian Taylor says !
Reiwoldt is the least of the Saints worries.
Not worried about BT. Just get the impression that his a snake.

BT also has his hands in a lot of things and would know what's going on in most clubs

Coffield I'd love but he'd cost our first rounder (possibly plus change too, signed a contract extension already).

Billings - no. Poor man's McLean who is poor under pressure.
Acres - not really a need.

Everyone been saying for so long we are flush for KPD's if we now lose Adams i will say it agian. Darcy Moore looks for all money to be out of Collingwood i would be making a big play for him obviously pending a medical.

Bigfooty think tank says Moore goes to Sydney and is a done deal

If Adams wants out we should be turning our attention to Steven May. Not sure what we can offer?? Would need to be a combination of things one would think.

As i said last week. We are still right into gaff.

Dont agree with you there - He hears rumour and innuendo all the time - Yes - but has been so far wrong on numerous occasions its not funny.

He is the same bloke that in the Barrett discussion yesterday wondered how the dogs had let slip what should have been a golden era.
Know one thing about BT - He does NO homework.
He isnt watching edits and cuts of games and game styles.
He isnt investigating the actual reasons for the down turn.

He is a game caller and that is about it - dont take him for knowing anymore else than rumour.

Beside BT. I think Riewoldt is a snake and don't trust him at all

Fair enough.

Worried that we are trying to hard to make our players like robots and angels.

Looks like the club is doing everything Bev asks which I don't really like. I can understand why Dahl wants out and actually agree with Barrett (as painful as it is), poor player treatment
Yes, according to some journos and supporters, it seems every player we've traded or delisted recently has been treated poorly...

Wonder if other clubs get this reaction to their trades and delistings?
