Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Well I hope they have a gigantic offer ,otherwise he's oursGC want Walsh
Ive seen stats that have listed his weight as 74, which IMO is a reasonable starting point starting point for a first year mid, and provides scope for plenty of upside. He’s only like 68kgs. A lot of work to be done.
No Jack Higgins build but he adjusted well into AFL.
Bit of an empty deal imo.
We will improve next year but id say we will still have a top 6 pick.
Would you trade 1 and 6 for 2 and 3?
Doing this while giving us an extra kid now also impairs our ability to package next years pick next year for a star which I think is in sos' plans.

Hmm, would we trade pick 43 for pick 41 & 44? Let me think about that for a micro second and say YES! YES! & YES!!.Are we going to be sitting here for a month, wondering if we will be trading Pick 43 for Pick 41 & 44?
Seems to be some unsaid subtext at the end of that statement. EFA."The Saints are keen to retain Jack Lonie, but are also open to him leaving Moorabbin if anyone is willing to have him."
Seems a mixed message.
Smith is better than Walsh
If we can get 2/3 for 1 and a future 1st I’d do it
Grab Smith and Rankine/Rozee and we’ve done very well
If we are any chance for Kelly next year we will need our 2019 FirstBit of an empty deal imo.

Would you trade #1 and #1 for #2 and #3?That is true, perhaps we’d look to deal with another club to get another 1st rounder for next year? Alternatively we could trade Pick 1 for Pick 2 and something else if we’re confident we will get the player we want.
I would trade 1+6 for 2 and 3.

thats just short sighted in my opinionWould you trade #1 and #1 for #2 and #3?
Really need a premium and maybe Scrimshaw or Brodie are the kicker?
Love Smith - trained with us pre-season and is a great kid. Have a listen to him on Cal Twomey's podcast - super committed and has a lot of AFL traits. If this is the way the dominos fall and SOS actually wants Smith, I'll back him in. This could allow SOS to get one of his beloved King boys, however they're the last player/s we need right now.Maybe sos is playing his cards real close to his chest and rates smith higher than Walsh too. If so then the following would be a big win.
-Pick 1 and 2019 first for pick 2 and 3
- Pick 2 to Port for 6 and 10
Take 3&6 to the draft. Take smith and another one of the other top talents.
10 to GWS for Settlefield and 2019 second round pick*
*Could instead trade 6 to gws (and we take 10 to the draft) for Settlefield and 2019 first if we want to get back into the first round next year.
Wingard to the Dogs looks to be on the cards.
Port could soon hold picks 6, 7, and 10.
You just know that that's going to turn into Pick 2 and/or 3. With the Suns picking up 5 via May (a certainty if they let him go), they may do it too.Wingard to the Dogs looks to be on the cards.
Port could soon hold picks 6, 7, and 10.
Those suggesting Port give up Wines or Cows give up M Crouch I think really need to consider why on earth they would do that. Trades need to make some sort of sense for BOTH sides.
There do appear to be some legitimate "unique circumstances" that could see some further shuffling at the top end of the draft, though. We'd certainly be happy to keep 1 and take Walsh, but you'd have to think SOS would look at a top ~6 pick and something very useful for 1, which is almost have your cake and eat it too stuff. And there are reasons why you could see that working from the other side, being there's some ultra-talented SA guys who are perhaps just out of draft reach for Port and Crows as it stands. And both clubs hold strong draft pick hands, so could afford to consolidate/trade up.
But the Adelaide teams aren't gutting their squads to move up a few spots.

2018 1st + 2019 1st to GCS
GCS 2018 2nd & 3rd to Carlton
2nd to Adelaide for their 8 and 13 and change.
GCS get Walsh
Adelaide get Lukosious
Carlton get Smith at 3, and also have another 2 first rounders this year
From the horse's mouth, won't be going anywhere.....this year. Would entertain it at the end of his contract.Just random passing thought. There was so much talk of Saints trading Jack Billings at end of the year. Anyone heard any noise around him from any clubs ?
