Can ANYONE explain to me why the club would even consider resigning Campbell?

Bev has shown he would rather play Dunkley or Jong in the ruck what is the point of wasting a spot on this bloke the senior coach has basically said he believes is useless?

Honestly what are they thinking?
Yeah surely recent selection has proven Bevo won't even play him as a last resort. Can't see why we'd bother keeping him.

I personally think if everyones fit and Trengove cant force his way into the ruck over English, he shouldnt be in the team. I dont want him anywhere near the backline and I think Boyd's a better option for forward/ruck. Just comes down to how English is going carrying the ruck for mine

When has he shown he prefers Jong or Dunkley in the ruck? As far as I remember we never went into a game without at least one of Trengove, English, Boyd or Roughy in the ruck. If all 4 were out together Campbell would play. It's pretty simple. Yes it was probably too much last year but with Roughy gone that mature back up ruck being paid literally nothing is important.

There was a game when English was injured and it was left to Dunkley and Jong at some ball ups. Bevo played a horribly out of form Roughy ahead of an in form Campbell iirc. People who I know saw Roughy play for Footscray the week earlier and said he was just awful, and then gets a gig before Campbell (with English out injured). Bevo appears to have been belligerent on this one for what reason is anyone's guess.
(I like the Doggies and watch them every week I can)

I honestly think English/Trengove would be our best ruck combination next season. I think Boyd has to show he can be as useful around the ground as Trengove was when he became our main ruck at the end of the season before he can be considered the better option between he and Trengove. Trengove averaged 21 hitouts, 4 marks, 18 touches (5 clearances and 9 contested possessions) and 4 tackles in the 5 games he played as our main ruck. English has Boyd beaten in pretty much everything besides hitouts too (which is only a difference of 2 a game).

I don't think it should be a matter of Trengove forcing his way into the ruck over English; I think it should be Boyd having to force his way into the role over Trengove (Purely off performance- of course Boyd is the long term investment here, so there's some other factors to consider). Of course with Adams departing we may see Trengove back in defense anyway (What are the chances Morris/Cordy/Naughton all play every game) and this is no longer an issue.

If Bevo refuses to play a bloke (even behind injured and out of form players) then he's just clogging the list. It's that simple.

It’s make no sense that a team who’s coach does not rate ruckman brings in a 4th ruckman it retains one on the list.

Luke partington? Delisted today by WCE

Anyone see any reason to delay delistings.
Understand the Libba situation is obviously complicated.Hoping they can work it out.
But Campbell and Honeychurch seems someone is being indecisive. When we need
a clear path moving forward.

Bevo is braindead. I wish one of you guys were our coach so I could watch Campbell tearing it up in the 1's every week. I honestly think he would poll better than Gawn in the brownlow if that stubborn dickhead Bevo would just give him a chance aye.
Not only the coach, wish someone here would take over Sam Power's job. That would be a real piece of piss.

So there is now no reason to delist anyone else because we dont have draft picks to cover them?
Not really we have 7 x main list outs and 2 x main list ins, which leaves 5 x main lists spots currently thought to be:
Pick 7, West, Khamis, and an upgrade for Lynch and Gowers our live picks are 7, 27, 32, 45, 63, 75, and 82 we
are dependant on the bids and points chewed up by West and Khamis if bid on + 3 x Rookies.

Haha it's true though that Bevo is super resistant to paying Campbell so why keep him on. The new rules favouring the monster rucks might be what saves him though. Seems he's happy to stay on minimum chips purely as back up which in itself is hard to find (and we all need one).

I can see all of Trengove, Timmy, and Boyd playing.

Some thing like 40 - 50 - 10. With Trengove usually in the back for the other half of his time, pending match ups. Timmy roaming and Boyd forward. Hope we give that a crack anyway.

Remember all those people that said BMac knew everything because he was our coach

Hahahahhahahaha good times

Because your in a role doesn’t mean you are good at it, and I’m not referring to Bev. We have had a plethora of rubbish staff over the journey and a few at the club as of today

I’m a lot more optimistic going into next season than I was for 2017 and 2018.

How so for 2017. We were the premiers and we had a couple come back from injury. It’s the most optimistic I’ve ever been was the start of 2017.

Bear in mind we were 4 - 1 after 5 rounds to start with. We looked great.

What do you like about him? He's the definition of vanilla, in my opinion. Not even good, creamy vanilla. More like that ice cream that has melted, then been refrozen, and is all gross. That sort of vanilla.
I’ve got a lot of faith in taking early draft picks who had all fun beaten out of their game by Fremantle. Especially after Crozier.

Are you rewriting history again?

As for the rubbish staff at the club, maybe you want to name names? Perhaps you could have a crack at their jobs? Club might be out of business in a few years.

I reckon it’s to keep list spots open to have more flexibility with live pick trading and matching bids. Not entirely sure how it works though, do we have to officially delist them to have their spots open, or is the fact that they are not yet contracted for next year enough? Anyone know?
