Camp upgrades ended up being a waste of money IMO.

I'd argue you can see it much earlier than that!

Chapter 3 is really when the decisions start to become a bit riskier and desperate. It foreshadows the complete mess that comes in Chapter 4.

Did another mission in chapter 3 last night which resulted in me having a little cash to splash

had a look at camp upgrades for the first time this chapter and noticed
A boat
worth getting? Useful at other camps?

I bought it and used it once before:

Did another mission with someone shortly after where we stole a better boat for the camp.

Boat is useful for rowing to the islands in Flat Iron Lake to get an Iguana pelt though.

Camp upgrades ended up being a waste of money IMO.

Fast travel, ammo, and the tools for Pearson to craft with the only ones I found useful.

Bought it, never used it.

Agree with the others, camp upgrades are a waste of time and money.

I bought a boat and used it to make an amphibious attack on Blackwater. I shot some random bloke at the docks and triumphantly rowed away as fast as I could.

So early in chapter 6 and as I ride into Saint Denis
I collapse and find out I have tuberculosis, which wasn't a suprise as some prick didn't put spoiler tags on here a few weeks back

I haven't played this for a couple of weeks now, and I'm wondering if when I return I'll continue my post-game wanderings or make a return to the snow by starting a fresh new game. With each passing day I'm leaning more to the latter

I restarted RDR1 (backwards compatible on Xbox One) to continue the story. Might also get through Undead Nightmare.

Yes I have done this - at chapter two but really taking my time. Hardly doing main missions, just trying to complete challenges, etc.

Had a look at the RDR1 map. Mountains have suddenly popped up where Strawberry and Valentine used to be.
And it only took 4 years. Nature is amazing!

I know it’s early but do we think there will be a RDR3?

With the Dutch gang story done and told, John Marston dead after RDR1, not sure where it could go from here, I’m not at all that interested in a postential game playing as Jack Marston either. And I doubt they would go back even further with Dutch Van Der Linde’s gang where Arthur and Hosea were much younger.

What about a RDR where you start as a character you know nothing about and it evolves as you explore the map?

Clearly any other game like this would include different characters and a different map. It doesn't have to be linked, the PS3 generation GTA games have no connection to the PS2 ones apart from the major cities sharing names.

The hardest part will be matching the story and scope of the map. The beginnings of a gang could be a pretty cool story, but creating a new environment that brings something extra to this would be much more difficult.

On a related note, I doubt we get any single player DLC, but it'd be cool to go even further forward and play as one of the characters that dies following the Blackwater heist, and see a bit more of the gang on the old map, in less difficult times.

Forming a gang where you have decisions to make whether or not certain characters can join the gang that end up having big consequences on your gang would be pretty cool.

Definitely. Could have decisions made earlier in the game that affect the outcome, rather than the choice being either prior to or during the last mission.
Such as a choice between Lenny or Sean as to which one joins the gang, bust Micah out of jail or not, choose who comes with you on a doomed mission, etc. Each choice alters the story slightly, would be cool for replay value too.

I feel like I just half read a spoiler
Hope your not referring to me, I havent finished rdr2 yet

No spoilers there aside from the reference to all Rockstar games involving choices late in the game. :rainbow:

Hunting down the legendary Gator and camping out for 3 days and in which it never spawns.

Next time I play I turn up and 2 minutes later I'm shooting it dead.

I hate Saint Denis so much, always end up in trouble and a bounty on my head.

But I love in the game where you are about to get a scenic view and the piano slowly starts to make it even more pleasant.

One thing I did wonder about the late in game story...

If Molly kept her mouth shut, and Micah wasn't picked up until after Guarma, then who tipped the Pinkertons off to the Saint Denis bank robbery? :drunk:

So just finished the main story/chapter 6.

**** me if this isn't a 10/10 game than nothing ever will be.

So does everyone get killed by Micah at the end or are there a few endings?
