Human garbage. Nice bloke.
Election coming up why don't they ask the public in the election
As long as I get a day off I couldnt care what day it is. I suspect the vast majority think the same.Like, who is actually that attached to Australia Day really? 90% of people here would just treat it as an excuse to have a BBQ, sink piss, and maybe hit the beach. Moving it to any other day in January doesn't actually impact that, yet people get so b***hurt over a (pretty flimsy) historical date.

You could put queens birthday in the same category of "couldnt give a stuff"And that's my major point, in reality a date change has no real impact on most of the population as their primary concern is the day off. The same can't be said for Christmas or ANZAC Day though.
Honestly, I'd be all for a Melbourne Cup style flexible date, such as the 3rd Monday of January which would fall somewhere between the 15th and 21st.

I'm apathetic towards it, just sick of the constant debate disproportionate to other issues that we go through as a country before finally coming to a decision.
Is it supposed to be particularly offensive to actively celebrate Landing Day? Because there are reminders and implicit celebration of colonisation everywhere. I suppose this would be one trigger removed, but literally the entire Australian society is a reminder.
Not everything can be rectified, but a date change is the easiest and most obvious thing that could be done.
Notice the dumb as f*** Pom cutting the tree halfway up the trunk?Better Cook landed here than the French, Dutch, Portugese, Islamic Indonesians or the Japanese
Under England it wasn't perfect but much better than the others

He was getting witchetty grubs out of the bark to eat
Where does it end though? I saw a positive and supposedly non-controversial ad about our colonial beginnings the other day, (I don't know what they were selling), and it occurred to me it might be offensive to even portray that in a good light.

I think AIDS is preferable now. Cook didn't land here anyway.Cancer is preferable to AIDS too, not sure you'd want either though.

Yeah. Its 2019. Lets look forward now.Yes, no. Who gives a shit. It’s a petty issue. More needs to be done in regards to changing our economy and ecology to deal with climate change.
