Holy shit haha. That ending.

It’s definitely not funny as the guy clearly has issues, but it was just so absurd that finish. I was in disbelief.

My ex company were completely thrown when I resigned. It’s amazing how little they seem to really notice sometimes.

By big boss at the time was actually in Singapore and called my boss as soon as he sent the email. Was nice to see she cared enough to get on the horn that quickly, she was obviously surprised/shocked by it. I do miss working for her sometimes.

Yeah my manager was shocked when I left mid-last year, again it's surprising how little they notice sometimes. My process was pretty quick though.
Way to try and make it about you again, mate.

I wonder how many times I'd re-watch footage of Cruffy getting escorted out of the building by his former employers

I may have missed something, but why would he have been walked out?

Usually only happens in legal/financial firms when you join a competitor.

He reckons people have been in the past in the insurance sector going to a competitor

I work in the industry & if you’re leaving for another competitor, you don’t work your notice period

Yes makes sense, forgot for a moment Cruyff works in insurance.

For some warped reason there was a part of me that enjoyed being walked out. 4 times over the years, each time I got a bit better at planning it.

The highlight being at JPM playing “why can’t we be friends” on an old school iPod dock in the background whilst being escorted out. Sadly I didn’t get the iPod back though, guess they didn’t appreciate my sense of humour in Hong Kong.

Yeah, I was walked.

Four weeks gardener's leave now. Saying goodbye to my manager was one of the hardest things I've had to do.

Do they still have to pay you over the 4 weeks? Not a bad deal.

Surely they do. If you give notice and they say don’t come back you should get paid for it. That’s how gardeners leave works. That is the dream scenario when leaving somewhere imo

Wait, why do insurance companies walk you out when you quit?

Yes.

Wait, why do insurance companies walk you out when you quit?
Because I've gone to a competitor and if I stayed I could have poached clients (I wouldn't have).
