She was disappointed but understanding and knew (and agreed) I had to do what is best for me. I said sorry a few times because I didn't know what else to say.

My ex company were completely thrown when I resigned. It’s amazing how little they seem to really notice sometimes.
By big boss at the time was actually in Singapore and called my boss as soon as he sent the email. Was nice to see she cared enough to get on the horn that quickly, she was obviously surprised/shocked by it. I do miss working for her sometimes.

Yeah my manager was shocked when I left mid-last year, again it's surprising how little they notice sometimes. My process was pretty quick though.
Well I wasn't looking for work and I am happy here. I was approached with a package too good to turn down.

Usually only happens in legal/financial firms when you join a competitor.

Yes makes sense, forgot for a moment Cruyff works in insurance.
For some warped reason there was a part of me that enjoyed being walked out. 4 times over the years, each time I got a bit better at planning it.
The highlight being at JPM playing “why can’t we be friends” on an old school iPod dock in the background whilst being escorted out. Sadly I didn’t get the iPod back though, guess they didn’t appreciate my sense of humour in Hong Kong.
