I can’t remember his name, but he always appeared in polls. There was a bit of fallout over it in the endJesse Messi?

How so when I’m one of the few recognising Son having elite talent? There’s nothing to suggest Sterling is better. Nothing.Your racist is showing.
That’s the one. Bring back the Jack Watts polls!Jack Watts?
Precisely why I wouldn’t swap him for Sterling. Just plays that LW and back up CF role brilliantly.I think Son is a better footballer than Sterling. Both players suit their teams system perfectly and excel as a result. Not sure either would have the same impact if roles were reversed. Both are bloody good players

shuddup pool scumSterling’s in the top handful of attackers in the EPL, and would start at any club in Europe at the moment. Pray for us all if he ever ‘learns how to finish’. Even the most clinical players miss chances. I don’t think it has been a weakness of Sterling’s game for 2 years now, his numbers during that time support that. He’s only missed 4 big chances in the PL this season, =41st in the league. 46 shots, 12 goals (26% conversion rate).
Its a confirmation bias trap, taking one example of ambiguous evidence that mirrors your pre-existing belief as confirmation your belief is the correct one, while ignoring the bigger picture and any evidence to the contrary.
I don’t think @moomba’s being overly defensive, just calling out a dated opinion that hasn’t held water in years.
For a bloke that constantly drones on about people being overly defensive against criticism of their players, you're showing a lot of defensiveness when I don't think anyone has said a negative word against Son for months. How so when I’m one of the few recognising Son having elite talent? Son’s not going to be judged at a World Cup because no one expects South Korea to do anything special. Sterling had a dreadful World Cup. It’s the pinnacle of a players career and the biggest stage to bring your A game. Sterling was probably England’s worst player at that tournamentSo if Son had a shit WC, would you not rate him either? Warped logic.
Hardly sound to rate someone off a few weeks than over the course of a season.

Doing a lot of moving the goalposts here Welly.Son’s not going to be judged at a World Cup because no one expects South Korea to do anything special. Sterling had a dreadful World Cup. Not to my recollection. The only thing I recall was everyone commenting how shit he was playingDidn't England generally look a lot worse coincidentally when Sterling went off?

Not at all. These are facts. You are trying to drive me down the road of saying sterling is shit, when I believe he’s not. In fact on his day he’s very good. But he can also be rash and lacks composure. He’s massively helped by playing with exceptional players at Man City. Son is just overall a better player, that’s all I’m saying hereDoing a lot of moving the goalposts here Welly.
SM please don’t start with this sort of diatribeAh so you just base your opinions on what others say?
