Well done boys.... I really think the best 22 is going to look a lot different this year.
Most of the deadwood gone .... blokes fighting for position, an injection of hungry kids, a couple of decent recruits and some rejuvenated veterans.

He’ll get a start in Round 1, as will
Constable and Clark. The winds of change are finally blowing through this list.

And has had no ankle issues since. It’s only been back and hamstring.

Firstly for 2019 this season I did not say he has had ankle setbacks. But I was talking about his injury history because it's a real thing that derailed his career.

So your timeline has shifted from a few years to 12 months since last ankle surgery. And we haven't even made it to round 1 yet.

Restricted to 50 games in 5 years with that issue being the most prominant. 2019 has not even started yet !

25 games in 3 years at geelong heading into season 4 is not just a little sample size.

2014 - Ankle Surgery ( round 14 )
Returns round 23 ( more surgery )

2015 - plays ( 12 ) games ( ankle issues )

2016 - Geelong Ankle Surgery ( 3 games )
2017- ( returns round 9 )

2018 - arthoscope from pain and stiffness in the ankle from multiple surgeries.

If that ankle is cherry ripe you have never had surgery it's never the same after multiple times going under the knife

I think Atkins is a lock for round 1.

Clark will play I think given the injury clouds over Tuohy and Bews. He has shown some real promise but is also very green defensively so I'm not sure he will keep his place indefinitely when they are available.

I'd have Constable as the last guy in atm but I think he will be the guy that misses out for Scott to shoe horn Kolo in.

What do you guys think of Fort? I think he's clearly not ready for AFL yet, hope they let him have a crack at the number 1 ruck in the vfl and give him time to develop. Looks like he needs to put of a bit of muscle too, belcho and lycett last week seemed to bully him around a bit. Not trying to put him down at all but I think it was a bit naïve that people thought he was walking into the 22 before the JLT.

I wouldn’t play Clark Round 1. He shows some nice signs but he’s has a way to go. Some of his defensive efforts weren’t up to scratch and we will be better for getting Tuohy and Bews back there.

still reckon Bews is on the bench as a defender but i hope they let henry keep Kolo's spot down back , but we all know scotty loves playing kolo for no reason
