Simple deduction. Our assistant coaches are very different now than they were 3 years ago, completely different crew, but our game plan has not changed one bit, so either Longmire is only hiring people who completely agree with him, or he is ignoring their advice.

We’ve relied on the spare man to make our defence work and players like Rohan and ronke and towers to provide defence in the forward line. The clarko rule change killed rampe and that’s further unbalanced the defence. We’ve tried to adjust on the run but the team just isn’t there and probably won’t be until buddy and his contract are over

We had kicked twice as many goals at half time in that final than in this game.

Disagree. I think we have a good forward line, an awful midfield and an average defence.

Sad thought, Heeney kicked his goal 1:45min in, so we basically when through a half of football goalless.

We can't kick a goal because we can't get the ball.

We get scored against because our midfield can't cover &/or stop getting run over.

Our failure is at the feet of our coaches and, to a lesser extent, our midfield.

I just checked who was playing in our midfield.

We’ve got Parker who came top 3 in the Brownlow a few years ago and is in his prime at the moment.

Heeney who’s one of the most freakish talents in the game (oh wait scratch that he’s not playing midfield)

Kennedy, one of the all time great contested ball winners who’s still good for 20-25 possessions a week

Hewett who proved himself at stages throughout last year to be one of the competitions most effective defensive mids.

Sinclair who is currently doubling his dogs counterparts in winning the taps

Something suggests that this midfield is currently a lot less than the sum of its parts.

Well that went well didn't it. No structure. Getting flogged. Beverage is outcoaching Longmire. Longmire doesn't have a clue what to do. He is Beverage's bitch.

Our backs are all over the place tonight. Loose as. Melican is not ready to play so whyis he? He should have played last week in the reserves. He has been caught out on over 6 occasions. All for scores for them. At one stage Lloyd had to try to outmark Naughton fir ****s sake. Melican was playing on Lloyd. Why?

I agree with the experts. We are bottom 4 on this form. Our players just are not up to it. Not fit enough either. Do many players bending and out of breath. Can't chase because they are winded. I think we need to reassess where we are. I think on this half we are a long, very long way off the pace.

Some have said that if we don't win a premiership with Buddy it is n I t a failure. I disagree. If we don't win a premiership with the best player in the game then it is a huge failure. I think if we get flogged tonight Longmire should be on notice. Swans teams DO NOT GET FLOGGED.

This is a travesty.

There is no upside to the youth in Sydney.

Cunningham has reached his peak. Hayward peaked. Papley peaked. Melican peaked. Florent has no peak.

It’s not a case of the players. It’s whether the coaching has the capacity to convert potential ability of these players into actual performances. Recent evidence suggests that the coaches don’t.

And I'm sorry it is not the umps. We are being beaten in organisation, in the mids and in the contest. Still it is only a 1/4.

We got worse that quarter. It is not just the absence of skill and composure. It is the abject organisation or its lack, beyond flooding D 50.

I am mortified to report the difficulty in finding any dominant players for us. The only positive is Heeney taking mark of the year and kicking accurately.

Sitting high in the stand unhappily compounds the ignominy of our performance to date. Still it's just a half. We can come back from this. If not this half, then this year and if not that some time in the post Horse era
